AMPK negatively regulates RANKL-induced osteoclast differentiation by controlling oxidative stress
This study aimed to clarify the mechanistic connection between AMPK and osteoclast differentiation, and the potential role of AMPK in the anti-resorptive effects of several phytochemicals. TCF12 regulates exosome release from epirubicin-treated CAFs to promote ER+ breast cancer cell chemoresistance
In this study, we showed that epirubicin (EPI) treatment triggered ROS which initiated autophagy in CAFs, TCF12 inhibited autophagy flux and further promoted exosome secretion. Inhibition of EPI-induced reactive oxygen species (ROS) production with N-acetyl-L-cysteine (NAC) or suppression of autophagic initiation with short interfering RNA (siRNA) against ATG5 blunted exosome release from CAFs. DBP induced autophagy and necrotic apoptosis in HepG2 cells via the mitochondrial damage pathway
In this study, HepG2 cells were treated with 0.0625, 0.125, 0.25, 0.5 and 1 mM Dibutyl phthalate (DBP) for 48 h to investigate mitochondrial toxicity. ROS induced the Rab26 promoter hypermethylation to promote cigarette smoking-induced airway epithelial inflammation of COPD through activation of MAPK signaling
In this study, we explore the role of Rab26 in CS exposure modulating the inflammatory response of airway epithelium and the novel mechanism of CS exposure regulation Rab26. These data showed that CS exposure and H2O2 (a type of ROS) suppressed the expression of Rab26 and increased the expression of DNMT3b in vivo and in vitro. GEO data analysis found the level of Rab26 was decreased in the lung tissue of COPD patients.
