Knockdown of ANLN inhibits the progression of lung adenocarcinoma via pyroptosis activation
In conclusion, ANLN represents an important gene and a promising therapeutic target for LUAD. Its potential as a therapeutic target makes it an interesting candidate for further exploration in the development of novel treatment strategies for LUAD.PMID:37539739 | PMC:PMC10433705 | DOI:10.3892/mmr.2023.13064

SPOCK2 gene expression is downregulated in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma cells and correlates with prognosis of patients with pancreatic cancer
ConclusionThe expression of SPOCK2 is downregulated in PDAC as a result of hypermethylation of its corresponding gene. SPOCK2 expression as well as the demethylation of its gene could be a potential marker for PDAC.

Cancers, Vol. 15, Pages 3810: Characterization of DoTc2 4510—Identifying HPV16 Presence in a Cervical Carcinoma Cell Line Previously Considered to Be HPV-Negative Cancers doi: 10.3390/cancers15153810 Authors: Nika Vučković Karin Hoppe-Seyler Angelika B. Riemer Cervical cancer is the fourth leading cause of cancer deaths in women, with over 340,000 women dying from this disease in 2020. Almost all cases have an underlying persistent infection with an oncogenic high-risk type of human papillomavirus (HPV), mainly HPV16. While cervical squamous cell carcinoma is hardly ever HPV-negative, a small subset...

Knockdown of NF- κB activating protein promotes pancreatic cancer growth and metastasis through mTOR signaling pathway
CONCLUSIONS: NKAP as an oncogene regulates the development of PAAD cells. The research found that the mTOR signaling pathway is engaged in the oncogenic role of NKAP in PAAD for the first time.PMID:37486443 | DOI:10.1007/s11033-023-08665-1

TIMELESS promotes the proliferation and migration of lung adenocarcinoma cells by activating EGFR through AMPK and SPHK1 regulation
CONCLUSIONS: Our study revealed that siTIM could inhibited EGFR activation through activating AMPK and inhibiting SPHK1 expression, as well as influencing mitochondrial function and alter the ATP level; TIM's high expression in LUAD is an important factor and a potential key target in LUAD.PMID:37433364 | DOI:10.1016/j.ejphar.2023.175883

STAMBPL1 promotes the progression of lung adenocarcinoma by inhibiting DHRS2 expression
CONCLUSIONS: The expression of STAMBPL1 mRNA is significantly up-regulated in LUAD, promoting the progression of LUAD by down-regulating the expression of DHRS2 and acting as a potential biomarker of LUAD.PMID:37393834 | DOI:10.1016/j.tranon.2023.101728

GSE207250 MiRNA array analysis of VMRC-LCD cells following ASCL1 knockdown function.
Contributors : Takayoshi Enokido ; Naoya Miyashita ; Akira SaitoSeries Type : Non-coding RNA profiling by arrayOrganism : Homo sapiens ; synthetic constructTo investigate the function of ASCL1 in ASCL1-positive lung adenocarcinoma, we established VMRC-LCD cell line in which the target gene has been knocked down by siRNA.We then performed gene expression profiling analysis using data obtained from RNA-seq of 3 different cells.
