Non-Long Term Jobs?
Long story short, I need a job for less than a year. Kind of hard to build up a practice during that time and not sure who would even hire me. I know locum jobs wouldn't pay well but would be better than nothing. I would ideally want to do more surgery than clinic if that scenario even exists. Also, I'm in the US.

Hello!
I am currently a 4 yr international optometry student ( but studying optometry school in US). And I just got a position for residency. However, my OPT will be ending before the end of the residency program. I would like to get some opinions about how to work legally during that period.

HELP, please! MS3 on Anesthesia vs neurology.
I’m an MS3 at a mid-tier MD. I’ve always been going for anesthesia but now I’m having second thoughts.
Honored all pre-clinicals but now that I have 2 kids, third year has been tough and I have all passes except for HP in IM and FM. Psychiatry - Do you Forget Medical Knowledge?
I’m very interested in psychiatry, but a huge concern for me is that I won’t remember most of the medical knowledge I’ve learned in med school (this is extremely important to me). Other than that, I really like the specialty.
I’m also strongly considering radiology and ophthalmology right now. In terms of the “knowledge” aspect, radiology definitely seems to win. But, each specialty obviously has its own pros and cons and so I’m having a hard time deciding.

What is an opthalmologist's take on an internist doing a funduscopic examination?
Hello.
I am a part time nephrologist / Internist who sees a large number of hypertensive and diabetic patients.
Although I do send these patients to opthalmology for a formal dilated retinal exam (which is part of the diabetes management anyway), I do have a PanOptic ophthalmoscope which I fiddle around with now and then for someone who is having uncontrolled BP for an undilated exam. What do all PE practices have in common?
They all need employee producers before they can churn and burn the practice to next buyer for that sweet 10x EBITDA multiplier.

Any med school supplies you regret buying?
I'll be starting MS1 this summer and I'm trying to plan out my finances. They already told us that we don't have to buy and ophthalmoscope or a otoscope because they'll be provided.
