A Cross-Sectional Survey on Pain Management in Dermal Filler Injections from Physicians ’ and Patients’ Perspectives
ConclusionsPain management during hyaluronic acid dermal fillers injection is important from both perspectives of physicians and patients. This survey showed that compared with other analgesic methods, lidocaine-containing hyaluronic acid has offered a more satisfying experience. It also provides insights to physicians and patients in pain management.Level of Evidence VThis journal requires that authors assign a level of evidence to each article. Comparative effectiveness of short contact (30-minute) lidocaine-prilocaine vs lidocaine-tetracaine topical anesthetic mixtures for cutaneous pain relief: A randomized controlled trial
To the Editor: Current topical anesthetics used in dermatology are typically a mixture of multiple agents, commonly 7% lidocaine-7% tetracaine topical anesthetic (LTTA) and 2.5% lidocaine-2.5% prilocaine topical anesthetic (LPTA).1 There are limited data regarding the effectiveness of these 2 mixtures when pre-applied less than the manufacturer recommended 60  minutes.1-3 (Source: Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology)

Topical Anaesthesia Using a Soft Mist Spray Device Allows Comfortable Awake Visualisation of the Airway via Self-Videolaryngoscopy in Volunteers
Conclusions: The Trachospray provided good, reliable, comfortable, and safe topical anaesthesia for awake videolaryngoscopy. This enables a direct visual assessment of the airway and may assist in making decisions regarding airway management for tracheal intubation.PMID:38276056 | PMC:PMC10821280 | DOI:10.3390/medicina60010176 (Source: Medicina (Kaunas))

Comparison of kinesio taping, dry needling and lidocaine injection methods in myofascial pain syndrome
Myofascial pain syndrome (MPS) is a chronic pain syndrome characterized by the presence of trigger points in muscles and fascia in various parts of the body (Dogan et al., 2019). MPS is one of the most common musculoskeletal problems in adults, and its prevalence varies between 30 and 93 % (Ay et al., 2017). Patients have symptoms such as pain (local or referred), loss of muscle strength, stiffness, and restriction of range of motion (Ay et al., 2017). Although the etiology of MPS is not well understood, causes such as posture disorder, trauma, and ergonomic problems appear as etiology (Albagieh et al., 2020). (Source: Jou...
