Comparative effect of triamcinolone/lidocaine ultrasonophoresis and injection on pain, disability, quality of life in patients with acute rotator cuff related shoulder pain: a double blinded randomized controlled trial
CONCLUSIONS: Triamcinolone/lidocaine ultrasonophoresis demonstrated similar outcomes to injection in reducing pain, improving disability, and enhancing quality of life in patients with acute RCRSP in short time. According to our findings, ultrasonophoresis with triamcinolone/lidocaine cream is as effective as triamcinolone/lidocaine injection and can be proposed as a potential adjunctive treatment for patients with acute RCRSP.PMID:38368597 | DOI:10.1080/09593985.2024.2316307 (Source: Physiotherapy Theory and Practice)

The comparative effectiveness of combined hydrodilatation/corticosteroid procedure with two different quantities for adhesive capsulitis
CONCLUSION: Our study suggests hydrodilatation achieved an optimal effect at time1 for patients with adhesive capsulitis in both groups, and adding more saline offers additional benefits in flexion and external roatation until time2.PMID:38361324 | DOI:10.1177/02692155241227607 (Source: Clinical Rehabilitation)

Uptake, translocation, and metabolization of amitriptyline, lidocaine, orphenadrine, and tramadol by cress and pea
Environ Sci Pollut Res Int. 2024 Feb 16. doi: 10.1007/s11356-024-32379-x. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTThe uptake, translocation, and metabolization of four widely used drugs, amitriptyline, orphenadrine, lidocaine, and tramadol, were investigated in a laboratory study. Cress (Lepidium sativum L.) and pea (Pisum sativum L.) were employed as model plants. These plants were grown in tap water containing the selected pharmaceuticals at concentrations ranging from 0.010 to 10 mg L-1, whereby the latter concentration was employed for the (tentative) identification of drug-related metabolites formed within the plant. Thereby, m...

Efficacy of analgesia promoted by lidocaine and articaine in third molar extraction surgery. A split-mouth, randomized, controlled trial
ConclusionIt can be concluded that the use of 4% articaine associated with epinephrine (1:100,000) reduced the time of onset of analgesia and the necessity for anesthetic supplementation in third molar extraction surgeries compared to the use of 2% lidocaine associated with epinephrine (1:100,000).
