China set to fetch first rocks from mysterious far side of the Moon
There’s a giant hole on the backside of the Moon. The South Pole–Aitken (SPA) Basin, the Moon’s largest and oldest impact crater, is more than 2500 kilometers wide and 8 kilometers deep—nearly big enough to swallow two Indias and hide the Himalayas. Now, China plans to land in it.
The basin may have been blasted out during a barrage of asteroids that pummeled Earth and other inner Solar System bodies billions of years ago, and scientists have long wanted to get their hands on SPA rocks to test the idea. Advances in pediatric anesthesia services over the past 10 years in French-speaking sub-Saharan Africa
CONCLUSION: Progress have been made over the last 10 years in French-speaking SSA to improve infrastructures, human resources, education, medications, and equipment for pediatric anesthesia in French-speaking SSA. Economic analysis of surgical outcome monitoring using control charts: the SHEWHART cluster randomised trial
Conclusions
Using control charts paired with indicator feedback to surgical teams was associated with significant reductions in hospital bed-days within 30 days following surgery, and hospital costs reimbursed for this care by the insurer.
