The Ethics of Full Body Skin Exams (FBSE)
Full body skin examinations (FBSEs) are part of the purview of a dermatologic exam. Because this involves examination of sensitive or “intimate” areas, there are many ethical issues involved. Herein we discuss whether screening patients with a FBSE is ethical and consistent with the ethical tenet of distributive justice, how to ethically deal with our disabled patients, how to ethically navigate patients who have been emotiona lly or physically traumatized in the past, and the ethical ramifications of the use of a chaperone. Preference for Prompting Procedures to Address Escape-Maintained Behavior in Autistic Adolescents
AbstractDifferential reinforcement of alternative behavior (DRA) is a common strategy for escape-maintained behaviors targeted for reduction (i.e., targeted behavior) exhibited by youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities. DRA often involves various methods of prompting to ensure the instruction or task remains in place until contingencies for the DRA are met. Currently, there is little research on client preference for these different prompting strategies in the context of DRA treatments. The current study includes four participants diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) who exhibited targeted behavior...

A Personalized Mediterranean Diet Improves Pain and Quality of Life in Patients with Fibromyalgia
ConclusionsThe habit of eating inflammatory foods and/or eating meals with the wrong nutritional content would increase the negative status of patients with fibromyalgia. With this study, we confirm that proper attention to feeding habits would improve the quality of life of such patients. (Source: Pain and Therapy)

Disparities in COVID-19 vaccine uptake among rural hard-to-reach population and urban high-risk groups of Bangladesh
ConclusionVaccination coverage among urbanites of high-risk group was found to be critically low. Vaccine hesitancy was also found to be high among individuals of this group. It is essential that the individuals of urban high-risk group be prioritized. Individuals from this group could be provided incentives (transport for disabled, monetary incentive to transgenders; food and medicine for drug user and floating people) and vaccination centers could be established with flexible schedule (morning/afternoon/evening sessions) so that they receive vaccine at their convenient time. Community engagement can be used for both high...

Untangling the knot of the best endovascular treatment for femoropopliteal artery disease
Peripheral artery disease (PAD) is an emerging, major cause of mortality, disability, and morbidity affecting more than 200 million people worldwide [1 –3]. Between the years 2000 and 2010, the prevalence of PAD increased by 13.1% in high-income countries and 28.7% in low-to-middle-income countries [1–4]. A significant association between PAD development and ageing has been established, with prevalences ranging from below 5% among individuals a ged 40–44 years to approximately 12% among individuals aged 70–74 years and approximately 20% among those aged 80–84 years [1–4].
