This study investigated whether the Chronic Respiratory Disease Questionnaire could be used as a screening tool to identify individuals with depression or anxiety, and to explore relationships between psychological status and clinical outcomes. Effectiveness of phosphodiesterase-5 inhibitor therapy for portopulmonary hypertensionPortopulmonary hypertension (PoPH), a serious complication of chronic liver disease, is associated with significant morbidity and mortality. Prompted, in part, by a lack of data from the PoPH population, this single-centre, retrospective study investigated the efficacy of phosphodiesterase-5 inhibitor therapy with respect to hemodynamic measures, including pulmonary vascular resistance and Fick cardiac output, in 25 PoPH patients at the University Health Network in Toronto, Ontario.
