Hum Vaccin Immunother. 2024 Dec 31;20(1):2335722. doi: 10.1080/21645515.2024.2335722. Epub 2024 May 3.ABSTRACTWe provide estimates for (I) annual herpes zoster (HZ) cases, (II) carbon costs related to healthcare utilization, and (III) annual carbon emissions due to HZ among ≥50 years of age (YOA) United States (US) population. We estimated the annual number of HZ cases in the US based on available incidence data and demographic data of individuals ≥50 YOA. Both the healthcare resource utilization (HCRU) associated with HZ cases and the unit carbon dioxide equivalent (i.e. CO2e) costs associated with each type of HCRU i...

Humoral Response After Two Doses of COVISHIELD < sup > TM < /sup > Vaccine in Patients Undergoing Maintenance Hemodialysis
CONCLUSION: In MHD patients, two doses of the COVISHIELDTM vaccine induced a substantial humoral response. Prior history of COVID-19 resulted in a higher antibody response. Thus, the COVISHIELDTM vaccine is efficacious and safe for use in patients with MHD. How to cite this article: Balwani MR, Pasari AS, Baw.ule C, et al. High-Risk Human Papilloma Virus Genotype Distribution and Correlation with Cervical Cytomorphological Data in Turkish and Immigrant Women in Mersin Province
New Microbiol. 2024 May;47(1):88-97.ABSTRACTHuman papilloma virus (HPV) is the most common sexually transmitted viral agent in the world and the most common cause of cervical cancer. HPV prevalence and genotype distribution vary by region and demographic data. In a province in the south of Turkey that constantly receives immigration, we aimed to determine the prevalence of high-risk HPV (HR-HPV) genotypes, evaluate the compatibility between cervical Pap smear cytology results patients and HR-HPVs, and make an up-to-date contribution to the elucidation of epidemiological data. In this single-centre study, a total of 12,641 ...

Intern nursing students' experiences in the COVID-19 vaccination unit and views on the COVID-19 vaccine: A phenomenological qualitative study
CONCLUSIONS: From the INSs' point of view, confidence in the vaccine, responsibility towards patients, their families and the community, and VU practice experience, the health risk associated with COVID-19 positively affected their decision to be vaccinated against COVID-19. The participation of intern nursing students in clinical practice during the pandemic influenced both intern nursing students and population in terms of the uptake of COVID-19 vaccines.PMID:38701167 | DOI:10.3233/WOR-220655 (Source: Work)
