A Novel Type of Stem Cells Double-Positive for SSEA-3 and CD45 in Human Peripheral Blood.
Abstract Peripheral blood (PB) contains several types of stem/progenitor cells, including hematopoietic stem and endothelial progenitor cells. We identified a population positive for both the pluripotent surface marker SSEA-3 and leukocyte common antigen CD45 that comprises 0.04% ± 0.003% of the mononuclear cells in human PB. Intracranial Hemorrhage Diagnosed with Transcranial Ultrasound in a Comatose, Postliver Transplant Patient
We report a case of an intracranial hemorrhage first suspected during a trans-cranial Doppler assessment of a postorthotopic liver transplant patient. The patient was at considerable risk of bleeding, due to a primary graft nonfunction, but he had also elevated ammonium levels, justifying the comatose state, and no focal neurological deficits.

Intraoperative Hemodynamic Parameters and Acute Kidney Injury After Living Donor Liver Transplantation
Conclusions. The elevated baseline CVP, elevated baseline RVEDV after anesthesia induction, and decreased SvO2 during anhepatic phase were associated with postoperative AKI. Prospective trials are required to evaluate whether the optimization of these variables may decrease the risk of AKI after LDLT.

LncRNA MALAT1 cessation antagonizes hypoxia/reoxygenation injury in hepatocytes by inhibiting apoptosis and inflammation via the HMGB1-TLR4 axis
In this study, elevation of MALAT1 expression was corroborated in human hepatocytes under hypoxia/reoxygenation (H/R)H/R condition. Of interest, depression of MALAT1 blunted H/R-inhibited cell viability, and counteracted lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) and malondialdehyde release.
