Pharmacokinetics, safety and preliminary pharmacodynamic evaluation of DARE-VVA1: a soft gelatin capsule containing tamoxifen for the treatment of vulvovaginal atrophy
CONCLUSIONS: DARE-VVA1 is safe and results in minimal systemic exposure to tamoxifen. Preliminary efficacy data support further development of this product.PMID:37288962 | DOI:10.1080/13697137.2023.2211763

The G-protein-coupled estrogen receptor, a gene co-expressed with ER α in breast tumors, is regulated by estrogen-ERα signalling in ERα positive breast cancer cells
In conclusion, GPER is positively associated with ERα in breast tumors, and induced by estrogen-ERα signalling axis. Estrogen-mediated induction of GPER makes the cells more responsive to GPER ligands. More in-depth studies are warranted to establish the significance of GPER-ERα co-expression, and their interplay in breast tumor development, progression, and treatment.PMID:37279863 | DOI:10.1016/j.gene.2023.147548

Tamoxifen related chorioretinal structural changes
CONCLUSIONS: Increased choroidal thickness may be the initial finding of subclinical tamoxifen-induced retinopathy. Patients with breast cancer undergoing tamoxifen therapy may be screened prior to tamoxifen therapy and followed during treatment by SD-OCT.PMID:37272809 | DOI:10.1080/15569527.2023.2220388

Lysine crotonylation of SERCA2a correlates to cardiac dysfunction and arrhythmia in Sirt1 cardiac-specific knockout mice
Int J Biol Macromol. 2023 Jun 1:125151. doi: 10.1016/j.ijbiomac.2023.125151. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTProtein post-translational modifications (PTMs) are important regulators of protein functions and produce proteome complexity. SIRT1 has NAD+-dependent deacylation of acyl-lysine residues. The present study aimed to explore the correlation between lysine crotonylation (Kcr) on cardiac function and rhythm in Sirt1 cardiac-specific knockout (ScKO) mice and related mechanism. Quantitative proteomics and bioinformatic analysis of Kcr were performed in the heart tissue of ScKO mice established with a tamoxifen-inducible Cr...
