GSE200861 Tumor promoting effect of long non-coding RNA RP11-556E13.1 and its clinical significance as a prognostic factor in hepatocellular carcinoma.
Contributors : Jie Li ; Zhikun Liu ; Jianguo Wang ; Xuyong Wei ; Qiang Wei ; Shusen Zheng ; Xiao XuSeries Type : Expression profiling by arrayOrganism : Homo sapiensObjective: The aim of this study was to reveal the function of the long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) RP11-556E13.1 (RP11) and its clinical significance in hepatocellular carcinoma. Methods: LncRNA and mRNA expression profiling was performed using lncRNA and mRNA microarrays in 5 pairs of HCC and adjacent tissues. 112 paired HCC and adjacent tissue samples were analyzed by semiquantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (sqRT-PCR) to evaluate the expression of RP...

GSE200312 Glucocorticoid recptor knockdown in primary amnion epithelial cells treated with MPA and TNFa
Contributors : Sarah J Cunningham ; Terrence K Allen ; Tim E Reddy ; Alejandro BarreraSeries Type : Expression profiling by high throughput sequencingOrganism : Homo sapiensTo analyze the effect of glucocorticoids on primary amnion epthelial cells, we harvested tissue samples from 10 healthy ceseaean section patients. We knocked down the glucocorticoid receptor with an siRNA or used a control siRNA. We treated samples with medroxyprogesterone acetate. Half the cells we subjected to a TNFa challenge

GSE199944 Spatiotemporal expression of HMGB2 regulates cell proliferation and hepatocyte size during liver regeneration
In this study, we investigated the functional role of high-mobility group box 2 (HMGB2), a chromatin protein in liver regeneration using wild-type and HMGB2-knockout (KO) mice. Liver tissues were sampled after 70% partial hepatectomy (PHx), and analyzed by immunohistochemistry using various markers of cell proliferation, including Ki-67, PCNA, cyclin D1, cyclin B1, EdU and pH3S10. In WT mice, hepatocyte proliferation was strongly correlated with the spatiotemporal expression of HMGB2; however, cell proliferation was significantly delayed in hepatocytes of HMGB2-KO mice. Quantitative PCR demonstrated that cyclin D1 and cyc...

GSE194248 Human prostate cancer cells (VCaP and AIVCaP): siAR alone (single siRNA) vs. siAR plus OPRK1 (combo-siRNA)
Contributors : Yuki Makino ; Takashi KobayashiSeries Type : Expression profiling by arrayOrganism : Homo sapiensThrough comparative genomics using PDX models of androgen-dependent (AD) and castration-resistant (CR) tumors, we identify opioid receptor kappa 1 (OPRK1) as being associated with castration-resistance. Loss of OPRK1 function delays castration-resistance and inhibits castration-resistant growth of prostate cancer cells in culture and in vivo, suggesting OPRK1 as a therapeutic target. To gain insight with regard to biological function of OPRK1 under androgen-depleted condition, we set up two distinct comparisons us...

GSE199026 ATF6 is required for the survival of castration-resistant prostate cancer cells
Contributors : Tingting Zhang ; Faming Zhao ; Xia ShengSeries Type : Expression profiling by high throughput sequencingOrganism : Homo sapiensTo gain insight into the global ATF6 target gene profile in prostate cancer cells, we performed RNA-seq analysis in DU145 cells upon either ATF6 siRNA-mediated knockdown (siATF6) or Ceapin-A7-mediated ATF6 α inhibition.

GSE171974 JMJD6 is a possible epigenetic regulator of PD-L1 expression and an independent favorable prognostic factor of intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma
Contributors : Yukiko Kosai-Fujimoto ; Daisuke Okuzaki ; Takasuke FukuharaSeries Type : Expression profiling by high throughput sequencingOrganism : Homo sapiensAssociation of Jumonji domain-containing 6 (JMJD6) with outcomes of various cancers has been shown, however the impact on intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) has never been reported yet. The aim of this study is to clarify the role of JMJD6 in the clinical settings and the impact on the outcomes of ICC. The resected liver specimens of 53 patients who underwent surgery for ICC were analyzed for JMJD6 expression by immunohistochemistry staining. The relationship be...
