Raspberry ketone promotes FNDC5 protein expression via HO-1 upregulation in 3T3-L1 adipocytes
In conclusion, RK can induce FNDC5 protein expression via the HO-1 signaling pathway, and this study provides new evidence for the potential use of RK in the treatment of obesity.PMID:35488673 | DOI:10.4103/cjp.cjp_95_21

GSE200983 Effect of O-GlcNAc Transferase (OGT) siRNA in trophoblastic BeWo cells
Contributors : Stephanie Olivier-Van Stichelen ; Yiwen CuiSeries Type : Expression profiling by high throughput sequencingOrganism : Homo sapiensEvery year, about 18 million babies are born from mothers with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). While diabetic symptoms usually resolve after delivery, lasting complications can occur for both mother and child, including fetal overgrowth, type 2 diabetes (T2D), cardiovascular diseases, and obesity. The rapid progression of GDM is unique to pregnancies, and likely arises from placental dysfunction. Indeed, stress, nutrition and fetal gender are thought to trigger changes in pla...

Abietic acid alleviates endoplasmic reticulum stress and lipid accumulation in human primary hepatocytes through the AMPK/ORP150 signaling
This study investigated the impacts of AA on ER stress and steatosis in in vitro obesity models. We found that Treatment with AA reduced lipid deposition and lipogenesis-related proteins expression in human primary hepatocytes. Augmented expression of ER stress markers (phospho-eukaryotic initiation factor-2α (eIF2α) and C/EBP homologous protein (CHOP)) in palmitate-treated hepatocytes were reversed by AA treatment. Further, AA treatment increased the expression of phospho-AMPK and oxygen-regulated protein 150 (ORP150) in hepatocytes. siRNA-associated knockdown of AMPK or ORP150 expression reduced the effects of AA on no...

Altered fibrinogen level and fibrin clot structure in myostatin homozygous mutant pig
The objective of the present study was to explore fibrinogen levels after MSTN inhibition. Fibrinogen levels and the fibrin clot structure of MSTN homozygous knockout (KO) and wild-type (WT) pigs (n = 4 in each group) were investigated. The protein expression of fibrinogen in the serum and liver of KO pigs decreased greatly (1.6-fold loss for serum and 2.5-fold loss for liver). KO pigs showed significantly decreased gene expression of fibrinogen chains: FGA (fibrinogen-α; 11-fold), FGB (fibrinogen-β; 8-fold) and FGG (fibrinogen-γ; 7.4-fold). The basal transcriptional regulators of fibrinogen, HNF1 (hepatocyte nuclear fa...
