Characterization of Mitoribosomal Small Subunit unit genes related immune and pharmacogenomic landscapes in renal cell carcinoma
AbstractMitoribosomes are essential for the production of biological energy. The Human Mitoribosomal Small Subunit unit (MRPS) family, responsible for encoding mitochondrial ribosomal small subunits, is actively engaged in protein synthesis within the mitochondria. Intriguingly, MRPS family genes appear to play a role in cancer. A multistep process was employed to establish a risk model associated with MRPS genes, aiming to delineate the immune and pharmacogenomic landscapes in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC). MRPScores were computed for individual patients to assess their responsiveness to various treatment modali...

External validation of a four-tiered grading system for chromophobe renal cell carcinoma
This study aimed to validate the prognostic value of a four-tiered grading system recently proposed by Avulova et al. and to explore the prognostic ability of another four-tiered classification grading system in which there is a separate Grade 3 for tumor necrosis. Grading of chromophobe renal cell carcinoma (ChRCC) by the Fuhrman system is not feasible because of the inherent nuclear atypia in ChRCC. We collected relevant data of 263 patients with ChRCC who had undergone surgery in our hospital from 2008 to 2020. The Kaplan –Meier method was used to calculate the survival rate and Cox proportional hazard regression mode...

CASC19: An Oncogenic Long Non-coding RNA in Different Cancers
Curr Pharm Des. 2024 Mar 27. doi: 10.2174/0113816128300061240319034243. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTA 324 bp lncRNA called CASC19 is found on chromosome 8q24.21. Recent research works have revealed that CASC19 is involved in the prognosis of tumors and related to the regulation of the radiation tolerance mechanisms during tumor radiotherapy (RT). This review sheds light on the changes and roles that CASC19 plays in many tumors and diseases, such as nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC), cervical cancer, colorectal cancer (CRC), non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC), gastric cancer (GC), pan...
