How Helpful Is a Minor
I am currently a Physiology and Neurobiology major and considering a minor in Molecular Cell Biology. I will have 7/15 MCB credits when completing my major so I will need to take an additional 3 classes to get the remaining 8 credits. In order to do so, I would need to take 18-19 credits my last three semesters (About 12-14 credits will be upper level PNB/MCB courses). Hello! I have a question regarding a decision to take a Molecular Biology class next semester. I am planning on taking the DAT in summer 2021 and will start studying for it as soon as the Fall 2020 semester ends. I am struggling to decide whether I should take a Molecular Biology class (in addition to Orgo 2 + required humanities courses) or to only take Orgo 2 + my humanities courses and dedicate time to studying for the DAT. Advice please!!
I am an international student working as a research assistant. I completed my undergraduate study with a low gpa. I was head deep in depression for more than 2 years. Proceeded to a 1yr masters program in molecular biology and graduated with a 3.9gpa. I have applied to MD/ DO schools twice. The first time, I withdrew all my applications because I felt overwhelmed. Help! I am currently in a jam with which upper level science electives to take. Here are my options: immunology, cell biology, endocrinology, molecular genetics, pathophysiology, medical botany, neurobiology, and developmental biology.
