How reliable is Rate My Professor
I'm trying to decide between a major in biochemistry and microbiology. Though I am interested in both, I am more interested in microbiology. I was checking the professors in Rate My Professor for both majors and those in biochem are much better than those in microbio. I was just wondering how accurate/reliable these ratings are. Better professors would most likely lead to a better grade/GPA and that's more important to me than choosing which major I would like more. Though, if these... Route switch from PhD to MD late in the game. HELP PLEASE
Hello all ! So I was originally planning on doing a PhD program (microbiology) once I graduated. I have since graduated and while I was volunteering in a hospital in my down time, I had the privilege of shadowing a doctor that has both his MD and PhD. So I was able to go and see his lab work and also shadow him clinically with patients. I have since decided to change things up and pursue an MD instead, and couldn't be more excited about this transition! I have quite a bit to ask so bear with... Confused and looking for honest advice
I just graduated with a BS in biology. All my life, I aspired to become a physician. Before college, I thought I had it all figured out. I volunteered at my neighborhood hospital and I loved working with patients, doctors, nurses, etc. I declared my major at the start of college. Except for microbiology, I took all the prerequisites and graduated on time. Everything sounds just about right... BUT I graduated with a gpa of 2.78. I don't have much extracurricular activities and absolutely no... Confused and looking for honest advice (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Princeton MCAT book stolen
My MCAT test is on September 9th (last day to take the test for this year) and I recently bought the Princeton MCAT book that has all the subjects in it, with an access code for online practice tests. I left my book in my car overnight and woke up this morning to it gone. That book has literally been my bible for the past 2 weeks and I was just getting into the interesting sections (microbiology & biochem). I really don't know what to do now and my exam is in about 2 months. Has this ever... Princeton MCAT book stolen (Source: Student Doctor Network)

CLS Micorbiology
I am in this predicament where I am required to take microbiology as a pre-req course at CSUDH. The only problem is that I graduated recently from my University without taking that class. The counselor at CSUDH told me that microbiology would required a three-semester wait period. I was hoping to try to finish the program in two years including the clinical portion (which takes a total of one year to complete). The counselor also told me an alternative solution, which was to apply to UCBx... CLS Micorbiology (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Concerned about AP credit (microbiology major)
I just graduated high school and will be starting college in the fall, majoring in Microbiology and minoring in Anthropology and Chemistry. In high school I took AP Biology and got a 4, which exempted me from the two intro to biology classes at my college. I am starting with advanced biology courses and most of my college career will be spent taking biology classes (around 50-80 hours total just of biology courses), but a friend of mine just told me that I will have to retake the intro...
