Comparison of transcriptomic profiles in edge to center of plaque reveals chronological molecular events in psoriatic plaque formation
Peripheral edge (PE) of plaques contains inflammatory molecules and has potential to initiate plaque formation, while the center (CE) of plaques has regression trends. (Source: Journal of Dermatological Science)

Decreased mitochondrial function in UVA-irradiated dermal fibroblasts causes the insufficient formation of type I collagen and fibrillin-1 fibers
Decreases of collagen fibers and the disappearance of oxytalan fibers are typical symptoms of photoaged skin. Although a low quality of mitochondria (MT) in photoaged skin cells has been observed, it is unknown whether the decreased quality of MT is responsible for the insufficient formation of dermal fibers. Vitamins and Their Derivatives Synergistically Promote Hair Shaft Elongation ex vivo via PlGF/VEGFR-1 Signalling Activation
Although vitamins or their derivatives (Vits), such as panthenyl ethyl ether, tocopherol acetate, and pyridoxine, have been widely used in topical hair care products, their efficacy and mode of action have been insufficiently studied. (Source: Journal of Dermatological Science)

E3 ubiquitin ligase Trim33 ubiquitylates Annexin A2 to promote NF- κB induced skin inflammation in psoriasis
Tripartite motif-containing protein 33, a member of the TRIM E3 ligase family, is shown to be involved in tumorigenesis, cell proliferation and inflammation. Alteration of several TRIM family proteins in psoriatic epidermis has been shown to participate in psoriasis pathogenesis. However, little is known about Trim33 expression and its role in psoriasis. Herpes simplex virus-induced murine dry skin model through sweating disturbance
Given that ocular glands become infected secondarily to herpes simplex virus 1 (HSV-1) keratitis, resulting in the loss of tear production, sweat glands may also be susceptible to HSV-1 infection, resulting in sweating disturbance, which is observed frequently in atopic dermatitis. However, due to the lack of sweat glands on the hairy skin of mice, the role of sweating in the maintenance of skin hydration has not been elucidated. (Source: Journal of Dermatological Science)
