The endometrial transcriptome of infertile women with and without implantation failure
ConclusionsNo distinct endometrial transcriptome profile was associated with either implantation failure or success in infertile women. However, there may be differences in the extent to which the WOI is displaced. (Source: Acta Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica)

Management of ectopic pregnancy after in vitro fertilization/intracytoplasmic sperm injection and embryo transfer: a case series and mini-review
DISCUSSION: Ectopic pregnancy after embryo transfer, mainly involving the fallopian tube, is very complex and is with diverse manifestations. Even with the pregnancy sac observed in the uterus, the pelvic cavity should be scanned thoroughly after embryo transfer.PMID:38515631 | PMC:PMC10953842 | DOI:10.2478/abm-2024-0004 (Source: Biomed Res)

Technology for Biobanking of Epididymal Spermatozoa from Patient with Obstructive Azoospermia: Case Report about Baby Born after Conventional Freezing Only with a Nonpermeable Cryoprotectant 360 kDa Polyvinylpyrrolidone
Biopreserv Biobank. 2024 Mar 18. doi: 10.1089/bio.2023.0032. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTThis publication reports, for the first time, the birth of a healthy child after intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) of motile spermatozoa after conventional ("slow") freezing of epididymal spermatozoa using 5% polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) of high molecular weight (360 kDa). Cryopreservation solution with 10% PVP was added to 30 µL of spermatozoa suspension in a 1:1 ratio, with a final PVP concentration of 5%. Then, polycarbonate capillaries for oocyte denudation with a diameter of 170 µm were filled with 60 µL of the resulting ...

Association between body mass index and in vitro fertilization/intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection outcomes: An analysis of 15,124 normal ovarian responders in China
CONCLUSIONS: High BMI was related to poor IVF/ICSI outcomes in women with a normal ovarian response, and CLBR declined with increasing BMI, partly due to suppressed endometrial receptivity. A high BMI had the most negative effect on young women with anticipated positive prognoses.PMID:38494342 | DOI:10.1097/CM9.0000000000002992 (Source: Chinese Medical Journal)

Efficacy and safety of follitropin delta for ovarian stimulation in vitro fertilization/ intracytoplasmic sperm injection cycles: a systematic review with meta-analysis
CONCLUSION: Personalized follitropin delta treatment is associated with a lower risk of OHSS compared to conventional follitropin alfa/beta administration in potentially normo-responder patients who receive ovarian stimulation in GnRH antagonist IVF/ICSI cycles. The absence of cumulative data does not allow definitive conclusions to be drawn regarding the comparison of the effectiveness of the two treatments.PROTOCOL STUDY REGISTRATION: CRD42023470352 (available at http://www.crd.york.ac.uk/PROSPERO ).PMID:38486276 | DOI:10.1186/s13048-024-01372-w (Source: Cell Research)
