Improved fertilization, degeneration, and embryo quality rates with PIEZO-assisted intracytoplasmic sperm injection compared with conventional intracytoplasmic sperm injection —a sibling oocyte split multicenter trial
While screening recently accepted articles in Fertility and Sterility, we came across the research of Zander-Fox et  al. (1). In this randomized prospective multicenter trial, the Australian colleagues demonstrated that PIEZO-assisted intracytoplasmic sperm injection (PIEZO-ICSI) results in higher rates of fertilization and good quality blastocysts, compared with regular ICSI. It is also associated with a decrea sed rate of oocyte degeneration. These findings and the reported promising genetic and neonatal data would make PIEZO-ICSI a potential alternative to conventional ICSI. (Source: Fertility and Sterility)

Age at menarche and risk of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome in women undergoing IVF/ICSI cycles: a retrospective cohort study
Conclusion Menarche age earlier than 12 years may increase the OHSS risk in women aged ≤30 years through the mediation of AFC. More prospective studies are required to verify the results. (Source: BMJ Open)

Significance of serum AMH and antral follicle count discrepancy for the prediction of ovarian stimulation response in Poseidon criteria patients
ConclusionsWhen serum AMH is  <  1.19 ng/mL, but AFC is ≥ 6, there is a moderate likelihood of a non-POR during stimulation. Conversely, if AFC is <  5 but serum AMH is ≥ 1.19 ng/mL, the chances of non-POR are low. Among patients with discordant markers, AFC emerges as the primary predictor of oocyte yield. Effect of male HBV infection on the outcomes of IVF/ICSI cycles: a retrospective cohort study based on propensity score matching
In conclusion, in couples who undergo IVF/ICSI, male HBV infection reduces the live birth rate and increases the risk of miscarriage. However, the incidence of low birth weight in women with IVF/ICSI does not increase with male HBV infection.PMID:38353463 | DOI:10.4103/aja202382 (Source: Asian Journal of Andrology)

Development and validation of a visualized prediction model for early miscarriage risk in patients undergoing IVF/ICSI procedures: a real-world multi-center study
ConclusionsOur study provides valuable insights into the impact factors of early miscarriage in both the general study population and specific age subgroups, offering practical recommendations for clinical practitioners. We have taken into account the significance of population differences and regional variations, ensuring the adaptability and relevance of our model across diverse populations. The user-friendly visualization of results and subgroup analysis further enhance the applicability and value of our research. These findings have significant implications for informed decision-making, allowing for individualized trea...
