Losing motivation to study
This semester I'm taking 16 hours of course (12 of which are upper level) and I keep losing motivation to study. I'll go the library and sit down and only study for like an hour and then I lose focus and my mind starts to wander. I have a fairly good g.p.a. and think I fairly decent chance of getting into some medical school yet I keep losing motivation to study in my last year of school. I recently bombed an exam due to insufficient study but I still can make an "A" in this class if I turn... Losing motivation to study (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Question for CVS/Walgreens/Duane Reade Pharmacists!
I am a new psychiatric nurse practitioner. I've had my DEA license for almost 2 months. Can anyone tell me why I am having issues with my patients filling their controls? The pharmacists keep saying that when they enter my DEA to confirm it says it doesn't exist. Do they need to update their databases? I called DEA and everything was confirmed and they said its all good on my end. They told me the pharmacies must need to update their system. This is extremely frustrating. Every day for... Drowning in Secondaries & Panicked: Any suggestions
Dear all, Here I am: in the the step of the journey to apply to medical school I have a job from 7-3pm (although I have a 2 hour break from 11-1pm 2-3 times a week). Useful links about basic science topics
So, here are two links I use frequently: Primer3: a web interface for designing primers for an imput sequence. This link puts you at the source code page. Just click 'user interface' and you're ready to roll http://frodo.wi.mit.edu/primer3/primer3_code.html Ensembl: a database for genetic/genomic architecture. I use it to find promoter/enhancer sequences for designing primers and amplicons (with Primer3) for ChIP and also to find exon/intron splice sites so that my... New Record for Narcotic Dosage
I had a new record for me today, documented on the state controlled substance database and all coming from one clinic. It was only 9000 something pills, which isn't my record, but the fact that almost all of them are oxycodone 30s was. His daily dose of oxycodone? 1920 mg. That's right, 60 grams a month, all from one provider. Insanity. Not too bad for a young guy that's never been in an IED explosion or some similar event. Where's your pain? Mostly my neck and abdomen, but all over... New Record for Narcotic Dosage (Source: Student Doctor Network)
