Why aren ’t there gold diggers in the medical library?
Some of my classes mates say that since they started using white coat pics on Tindr they’ve had way better luck. I’m not into that sorta thing but it occurred to me... why aren’t the type of people who are matching people cause they have a white coat hanging out in the medical library. Isn’t that where you would go to meet someone who’s going to be a doctor? Where else are you going to find such a high number of people who are going to make solid 6 figures and you can just walk into? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

How do you access journal articles?
During pharmacy school, I had free access to basically any journal article I wanted. I really miss it. My program had public access to the library and free access to journal articles for people using the library. Is that typical? If I drove to the nearest pharmacy school and hung out in their library, is it possible that I would get my journal access back? If that access isn't typical, what are people doing to get journal article access? I probably just need to subscribe to the journals... How do you access journal articles? who has experience using Pearldiver database for research? Need help with coding
My lab is using the Pearldiver database for research. Presently, every person doing research creates buckets using ICD-9 codes on MS Word. We forward our buckets to one guy in the lab who reads the MS word document and codes the queries for Pearldiver. No on else in the lab has the knowledge to write the codes. I have zero knowledge of coding or computer languages but I want to learn how to code the queries. What coding language does Pearldiver use? How difficult it is to learn to code the... who has experience using Pearldiver database for research? Need help with coding (Source: Student Doctor Network)

New grad - to fill or not to fill?
I’ve been browsing these forums since I was in undergrad, and they’ve helped me tremendously. I recently graduated pharmacy school and started a new job at a major chain retail pharmacy. I am trying to become more comfortable with filling C2s. I always check our state’s PMP database before dispensing and document diagnoses as appropriate. I have a million questions that I wish I could pick some of your brains with… I’ll do my best to limit them here. What would you do or consider in these... New grad - to fill or not to fill? DAT Retake: 19AA -- > 22AA
Hello SDN, It's been a long year. Exactly one year ago I took my DAT for the first time. I'm certainly not new to this site for I've lurked in the shadows of this forum since July 2016. Every day on my drive to the library I'd envision myself cheerfully typing up a detailed breakdown. I took my test and I did not do well. I have a 3.3 cGPA and a 3.1 sGPA (upward trend though!). I took a Kaplan DAT course which was a massive waste of time. It was taught by a med student. Halfway through the... DAT Retake: 19AA --> 22AA (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Advice needed about research study design (please!)
I am conducting a retrospective cohort study on recurrence rates following treatments for a type of cancer. I obtained the raw data by searching a single hospital's database of pathology reports to find all cases of the cancer that were diagnosed OR treated there during a 10 year period. If the case was a recurrence of a cancer originally treated prior to the 10 year period, it was excluded. However, I did include cases of cancers that were originally diagnosed and treated at outside... Advice needed about research study design (please!) (Source: Student Doctor Network)
