How do I sign up a deployment? (coming out of residency)
I would like to sign up for a deployment right out of residency. The reasons for me are simple (wife will be able to stay where we are currently at with family, Deploying while my child is young, I will be able to study for my board exam for which I'm off cycle, it may give us more options for PCSing to Europe later... these are of course perceived benefits). #How do I sign up for a deployment right out of residency? How far would you guys live from your school?
Pricing for homes in the city I'm moving to is incredibly more expensive the closer I get to my school. With my kids and an animal it is important to get a little more home and a backyard. I plan to spend a lot of time in the library, but will probably go home for dinner/lunches with kids. I dont know the answer to this - at what point does your commute become cumbersome to studying? My life has always mostly revolved around work, and I am so lucky to only live < 1 mile. Sent from my... How far would you guys live from your school? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Expected Expenses Starting Vet School
So I'm trying to budget for starting school. I've already got moving expenses, rent deposits, club dues, and rabies vaccine. Are there any other expenses I should be worried about? Textbooks are usually not used or are available in libraries or digital format. Thanks for all the help. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Your Daily MCAT routine
I've just started studying for my MCAT again a few days ago, and was curious how other people planned out their days and what were some things you all did to make 5+ hours of study per day not feel so long and feel like you still have a life! So far it hasn't felt bad at all, but i'm always looking for improvement! So far my schedule is: 9am:Wake-up & Shower 10:00:Eat Breakfast & Prep Lunch 11:30am-6:30pm: Study at the library(the library near me opens so late) 6:30pm: Chill 8:30inner... MS2's taking step 1: How to study longer?
Hey everyone. So I'm taking step 1 this summer and I'm having a hard time focusing for long periods of time. I don't know if I'm just lacking in discipline or just not studying right but I've found that 5 hours per day of focused studying is absolutely the most I can do on a typical day, even on 30mg Vyvanse (I have ADHD). 5 hours per day (I don't go to class either) is pretty bad for a medical student right? I mean I see gunners in the library from morning till night pretty much everyday.... MS2's taking step 1: How to study longer? (Source: Student Doctor Network)
