Anesthesia Rotation Reading
I'm a third year interested in anesthesia (possibly with critical care) and have a 2-week rotation coming up. I've only done inpatient IM so far. I've seen that most recommend either baby Miller or M&M (I have electronic access to both through our library). What specific chapters would you recommend I try and read through during a 2-week rotation? Or if you have recommendations for other resources I'd love to hear them. Really hoping to build a bit of a foundation so that I can be... Anesthesia Rotation Reading (Source: Student Doctor Network)

AAMC FL 1 and 2 Questions
Hey guys...6/30 test taker here. Scores come out in 5 days and I am freaking out. I took several kaplan tests pretty early and made 500, 501, and 502. I heard they were pretty deflated so all is well. AAMC FL2 (2015) afterwards and made a 507 (127, 126, 128, 126). Better and closer to my goal of at least a 508. I took the AAMC FL 1 a a few days later and made a 504 (125,123,128,128). Even though I made a 504, I have never done that bad on CARS. I was in a library on children day and everyone... "Unlicensed Psychotherapists"
It is my understanding that in most states, the practice of psychotherapy is regulated. In my state, Colorado, it is not practice but rather titles/terms that are protected... to include terms such as "psychologist", "psychology", "licensed", or "marriage and family therapist". This being the case, my state allows anyone who passes a short jurisprudence exam and pays a filing fee to be listed in a database of "unlicensed psychotherapists". Technically, someone with a 3rd grade education... "Unlicensed Psychotherapists" (Source: Student Doctor Network)

I have five college degrees
I intend on applying to pharmacy school in the coming year; however, I already have five college degrees including the following: BA Biology BS Accounting (4.0 GPA) BSBA Finance (4.0 GPA) MA Instructional Technology (4.0 GPA) Master of Library Science Would the fact that I have so many degrees in fields unrelated to the medical sciences hurt my chances of being admitted into pharmacy school? Thank you. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Textbooks and study habits for MS1
In undergrad I was never a lecture or auditory learner. I'm very visual and pretty much read assigned textbooks cover to cover for classes like biochemistry, genetics, and the like. I'm starting MS1 at a school that has probably 30+ textbooks listed, and fortunately I can get most of the ebooks for free online through the library portal. I have a feeling that my study habits are going to have to change, however. There is simply too much material for me to try to read everything. In... What is the max # of research projects one can juggle during M2?
So, regrettably and idiotically, I squandered my first year of medical school with 14 hour library sessions chasing 100's in a true pass/fail curriculum when I should have been cranking out papers and networking...What's done is done, and I'm over it... Now, as I prepare to enter M2, I am left with no choice but to unlock what I like to refer to as "hyper-gunner" mode. In addition to my daily Step 1 studying, I am working on 2 research projects, with a 3rd now in the planning stage... I... What is the max # of research projects one can juggle during M2? Best way to improve CARS reading and my reading in general
As the title implies, I'm trying to find the best ways to improve my MCAT CARS reading ability and my reading comprehension in general. However, is it more recommended to just read published science articles (to improve scientific knowledge) or read whatever I can like library books (to improve reading speed)? If it's the science articles, where should I even start? I know of Nature and PubMed but just pick articles that look interesting? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

USC Pharmacy School – The Truth No One Will Tell You About
Graduated from USC pharmacy school a few years ago. I wish someone had told me these things before I started. This is my honest review…For being one of the most expensive programs in the nation, USC has under delivered. Cons Students are treated poorly crappy facilities - overcrowded, old building no place to study after 10pm. library closes (except for during finals week). not a single place to study in the building, everything is locked down. med students get office space. you...
