Working in IT Field (Foreign Degree) Wanting To Apply for Medical School
Hi Guys! I'm new to the forums and I just want to consult with you guys regarding my situation. I am currently working in the IT Field as a Systems/Database Administrator. I finished my Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology back in 2011 in a school in the Philippines before I migrated to the US in 2013. I have always thought that I wanted to pursue a career in the Medical Field but never really gave it serious thought until recently. Now I have been employed in the IT field for over... Job shadow reflection
I just job shadowed at UNMC today and it just reminded me why I chose one of the hardest areas of study to major in. It reminded me of why I spend countless hours in the library - sometimes even sleeping there - to achieve the grades that I do. It reminded me how much I want this, and how I will not stop until I am a doctor. After job shadowing, I feel like I have this whole new wave of motivation. Just thought I'd share. I'm so happy that I know this truly is for me. Sent from my iPhone... Job shadow reflection (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Doximity (in general, not just on residency rankings)
I don't know where to start this conversation. It seems like all (or at least most) of the discussions on here re: Doximity have been about their attempts to rank and review residencies. So, I don't really want to rehash that. But, in general - for any or all other uses of the site, do you use it? Do you think it's helpful in any regard? I mean, it seems like everyone should at least claim their profile and make sure it's updated since other databases are pulling provider information... How do I maximize research efficiency in Medical School?
Just got an acceptance to medical school. Was wondering how I can maximize my research efficiency and increase journal output throughout medical school. I only got 2 publications during undergrad, and those were through basic science projects which took way too long. I'm thinking clinical research for medical school, retrospective chart reviews and database work... but is there a way I can get a head start during undergrad? Speaking to medical students they told me they had to figure out... How do I maximize research efficiency in Medical School? (Source: Student Doctor Network)
