Orbicularis-Tarsus-Orbital Septum Fixation Technique in Asian Double-Eyelid Blepharoplasty: a Retrospective Study
Conclusions: The orbicularis-tarsus-orbital septum fixation technique is safe and effective for double-eyelid blepharoplasty. This technique helps to form stable upper eyelid creases. Meanwhile, it is easy to achieve ideal curve and symmetry. By preserving the pretarsal tissue and using the orbital septum, sunken scar formation can be avoided. Quantitative Analysis of Preoperative and Postoperative Photographs Posted on Social Media by Oculoplastic Surgeons
Conclusions: Numerous quantifiable photographic inconsistencies were identified in surgical photographs posted on social media by members of ASOPRS. Adoption of an automated image analysis tool that compares before-and-after surgical photographs could promote standardized oculoplastic surgery photography on social media. Managing the Asian Eyelid
The Asian eyelid has distinct anatomic features that distinguish it from the Caucasian eyelid. These anatomic features are responsible for the ethnic identity of the Asian eyelid and guide operative technique and intervention. In the younger patient, the goal of Asian blepharoplasty often centers on the enhancement of the ethnic eye features and the creation of the supratarsal fold often referred to as the “double eyelid.” In the aging Asian eyelid, considerations should be made to evaluate and address dermatochalasis, blepharoptosis, and brow ptosis. In patients with significant lateral brow ptosis and lateral hooding...

Comparison of the Clinical Effect of Double Eyelid Blepharoplasty with the Orbital Septum Method and the Classical Method
ConclusionCompared to the classical double eyelid method, the orbital septum method has the advantages of reducing early postoperative complications, reducing the severity of the scar, slighting the ‘meat strip,’ and improving symmetry, which results in higher postoperative satisfactionLevel of Evidence IIIThis journal requires that authors assign a level of evidence to each article. Small-incision, mini-dissection, orbicularis-preservation and orbicularis-levator aponeurosis fixation technique: A modified partial-incision double-eyelid blepharoplasty
The partial-incision double-eyelid surgery remains a popular esthetic procedure in Asia, most of the previous partial-incision double-eyelid operations involved resection of the pretarsal orbicular muscle, resulting in depressed and firm eyelid crease. In order to create a more natural, dynamic and durable double-eyelid crease with less visible scar and shorter postoperative recovery time, we describes a modified small-incision, mini-dissection, orbicularis-preservation and orbicularis-levator aponeurosis fixation technique for Chinese patients. Asian Upper Blepharoplasty
Asian upper blepharoplasty is one of the most popular cosmetic procedures for Asians, but less optimal result is still common. The authors ’ comprehensive approach to Asian upper blepharoplasty includes (1) to determine both the height and length of the upper skin crease; (2) to create more ideal anatomy of the upper eyelid; (3) to reconstruct the desirable anatomic structure of the upper eyelid skin crease; and (4) to add a medial epicanthoplasty if needed to enhance cosmetic results.
