Public perception of "laser-assisted" blepharoplasty versus "blade-assisted" blepharoplasty
CONCLUSION: Elucidating patient perceptions and preferences for blade- versus laser-based blepharoplasty provides surgeons with perspective on how to tailor preoperative counselling. Before and after the intervention, participants had a bias toward choosing laser blepharoplasty. The intervention seems to falsely convince people that laser blepharoplasty leads to better outcomes. Because the doctor's advice can greatly impact patients' decisions, physicians have to be careful not to give false expectations when counselling patients. Inaccurate recall of key educational takeaways suggests that information should be vulgarize...

Efficacy of Early Application of 1540 nm Non-ablative Fractional Laser and Silicones to Improve Post-epicanthoplasty Scars
AbstractThe combination of epicanthoplasty and blepharoplasty is a popular choice in Asians to acquire a pair of charming big eyes. However, the obvious scarring in the medial canthal area may result in unsatisfactory aesthetic outcomes. Recently, various laser treatments have been used to deal with scars had achieved detectable improvement, but only a few studies investigating the efficacy of lasers used in post-epicanthoplasty scarring were developed. A total of 70 participants who underwentZ-epicanthoplasty were enrolled in this prospective clinical trial and were randomly assigned to the groups of 1540nm non-ablative f...

Upper Blepharoplasty and Brow Rejuvenation in Men

Physical examination defines which features predominate. Treatment can be nonsurgical or surgical. The surgical options include upper lid blepharoplasty, various types of brow lifting or brow shaping, ptos...
