Should I take the MCAT?
For context, I am a high school senior (ORM) who has competed in numerous Olympiads earning top scores in most: USABO, USNCO, USAPhO. In the past, I went to many AoPS WOOTs (Chem and Physics). From these olympiads and along with my full set of AP Classes (including psychology), I have a solid understanding in biology, physics, chemistry, parts of biochem and organic chem, psychology and sociology (my only non-AP class). I have taken many practice test (NextStep, AAMC Fls, Kaplan, etc.) and... Should I take the MCAT? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

MCAT Studying
I’m nervous to take my first AAMC full length practice test tomorrow... Today I've just been reviewing some biology flashcards that I made, some psych/soc flashcards that I made, studying the Michaelis-Menten graphs and Lineweaver-Burk plots for each of the different types of inhibition, and I'm about to do some studying of my biochemistry flashcards. Is it normal to feel this way? This summer I’ve been doing a lot of content review and studying with Princeton Review and doing a lot of... MCAT Studying (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Lost Pre-Med Studying for MCAT
Hi, I’m a pre-med student completely lost trying to study for the MCAT. I had planned on purchasing the Kaplan 7-Book Study Set and some AAMC study materials, but I don’t know if those are the best ones. I have planned to start studying in September and take the MCAT in March (Covid pending). Can anyone give me advice on materials or a study schedule? All of the study schedules out there are really confusing and have a lot of different materials. I don’t know if I should purchase a prep... Mcat id
Hello, i'm taking my mcat sept 4. I just realized my Liscense expired (July 31) and ordered a new one (on Aug 15.) The website says it make take up to twenty business days to receive it in the mail. I saw this on the aamc website "If your state is open and your ID expired after March 1, 2020, please make every attempt to renew or apply for renewal as soon as possible. Many state offices are processing online renewals for driver licenses and identification cards. Please retain any... MCAT ID (Source: Student Doctor Network)

FAP Recipients...What happens to them?
Obviously, there is not one profile that fits FAP (racial, ethnicity, regional, etc.) and with the COVID-19 pandemic, more people qualify. However, what is their acceptance rate? Their average MCAT? Where do they go? As a FAP recipient, I am curious to see what happened to the people before me. Did AAMC's helpful starter pack (MCAT resources, discounted MCAT, 20 free application submissions, official qualification to have secondaries waived/discounted) actually help them... Free legal research for ADROP/ASTRO on antitrust and cutting spots
For totally unrelated reasons, I stumbled across this article: Challenging the Medical Residency Matching System through Antitrust Litigation It's a paper published in 2015 talking about a lawsuit brought by residents in 2002 against the AAMC/NRMP/universities/hospitals/literally anyone ever involved in running "the Match". In brief: "The resident plaintiffs... Free legal research for ADROP/ASTRO on antitrust and cutting spots (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Received an acceptance this AM but unable to cancel MCAT retake tomorrow?
Hello everyone! Applied to the 2019-2020 cycle with a 503. Received interviews but no acceptances through the spring and decided to apply again after an MCAT retake- scheduled for tomorrow. Today my top choice offered me an acceptance to this year's class, starting in about a week, based on last year's application and score. There's no reason for me to retake the MCAT now but the last official day I could cancel was 07/15. I called AAMC and have been on hold for 20 minutes. Thought maybe... 11 days out - what do?
Hey all, I write the mcat on 8/8 1215, and was interested in hearing opinions of others on the best way to spend the remainder of my time. I'll probably finish Uworld bio, gen chem, biochem, and physics by next week some time, and I've had an Anki deck I've been building since April that I do daily. I completed all the AAMC material last week, but am wondering if going through SB's again is really worth it, since I feel like I'll already know the right answers and the results will be... 11 days out - what do? AAMC Chem Qpack #49 explanation.
When 2.0 mL of 0.1 M NaOH(aq) is added to 100 mL of a solution containing 0.1 M HClO(aq) and 0.1 M NaClO(aq), what type of change in the pH of the solution takes place? Hey ya'll, so the answer here is A. I do understand the "intuitive" way of answering this (which is the basis of the AAMC explanation) but I've been working on this for hours and cannot figure out how to do it the long way. I know it's unlikely... AAMC Chem Qpack #49 explanation. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

515 on Altius Half-Length without any prep...
So, I just took the Altius Half-Length as a diagnostic before I start content review, and I got a 515 (127/130/128/130). I was fully expecting a <500, and am planning to take my MCAT next May (after 4 months of intense review.) My goal score is a 518. My question is: is the Altius Half-Length at all representative of AAMC material, or is it heavily inflated? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Just over 2 months until my retake
Got a 503 (126/127/125/125) the first time I took the MCAT last month, and I'm trying to put together a study plan for the next 2 months. My previous study routine consisted primarily of The Berkeley Review, UWorld, & the AAMC practice materials. Is there a good 2 month study plan out there? Which do you recommend? Thanks!
