Should I quit my (part-time) gap year job to study for the MCAT?
Hey guys -- so I'm currently working in clinical research M-F 8-12 and I have exactly 59 days till my MCAT.
I'm done w/ content and planning on taking 8 FL's starting this weekend -- but I realized I need to do//review 50 Uglobe questions a day to finish all of them before my final month to do AAMC.

How hard is it to get an away rotation?
With the AAMC announcement that away rotations will most likely be opened back up in August of this year, it seems as if all medical students will be competing for the same 3 month rotation window. There is one specific program I really want to match at. It’s very middle of the road in terms of competitiveness, but they only offer one rotating away student per 4 week block. Essentially, only 3 spots before interviews will begin.

Post-Kaplan FL 1 strategy?
Hi everyone,
I'm currently registered to test on March 13 and took Kaplan FL 1 earlier today. My score was 504 (125/126/126/127).
I took the sample AAMC last weekend and did content review all week. I've noticed that content review is not significantly altering the number of questions I'm getting correct. Only C/P showed a noticeable bump.
On sample AAMC, my questions correct were as follows:
C/P: 59% correct
CARS: 81% correct
B/B: 69% correct
P/S: 81% correct

Week off?
So I test on the 25th and I am horribly burnt out. I have taken 4 AAMC exams so far and can potentially take one more. Should I take the week off or should I push through? My scores have been pretty good, I'm just scared they'll drop if I take a break. Any advice? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Khan Academy/AAMC ending its course in 2021... that was short
So in 2015 when the new MCAT came out, the Khan Academy partnered with the AAMC to make a comprehensive course with everything you need to know for the MCAT including actually GOOD practice questions/passages (as opposed to a lot of commercial supplement's practice questions, which are imo either way to hard or way to easy)
I'm curious what SDN community thinks of this, did you guys ever use it? I'm sad to see it go and feel bad for future people who can't take advantage of this free...

Ubiquitination Exam AAMC Q Spoiler

Passport Middle Name
So, I'm taking the MCAT on Jan. 21st and on US passports the middle name is right after the first name. Ie, Given Name: First Middle, LN: Last

55 hrs/wk average according to AAMC? Is this accurate?
Hi all,
I'm a 3rd year interested in Radiology following a Radiology elective. I was investigating the career path using the AAMC website recommended by my school - and I found the average hours per week for attending radiologist was 55 hrs/week based on a study from 2001 and another from 2011.
Are these hours accurate in 2020? I've read (mostly from these forums) that, if anything, hours have increased in recent years? Are there any other sources of average hours, for radiology or other...

Carrib School Stigmas
Hi All,
Buckle up cause here we go.
I have a question. I chose to go to a carrib school and am scheduled to start in January. I won't get into the specific reasons as to why. Quite frankly most of my reasons are politically motivated. Rate my MCAT Study Schedule?
So, here is a brief rundown of a typical week for my MCAT Study schedule. I loosely based it off of the 100 day study schedule. I am a bit pressed budget-wise so I am having to make do with what I have, which means no TBR books and focusing more on the Kaplan content.
Resources I am using:
- Kaplan 7 Book Set 2020-2021
- UWorld Qbank 90 Days
- Official AAMC Online Prep Bundle
- Khan Academy Videos (I don't anticipate using these much) and 300 page doc P/S
