Clinicopathologic features and survival outcomes of CD30 expression in extranodal natural killer/T-cell lymphoma
CONCLUSIONS: Positive CD30 expression was a favorable prognostic factor for ENKTL, and CD30 expression could restratify the survival of patients in clinical subgroups.PMID:38387041 | DOI:10.1093/ajcp/aqae012 (Source: American Journal of Clinical Pathology)

Cancers, Vol. 16, Pages 861: JAK Inhibitors in Cutaneous T-Cell Lymphoma: Friend or Foe? A Systematic Review of the Published Literature
In conclusion, using JAK inhibitors for CTCL treatment seems promising with acceptable side effects, especially in patients with SPTCL. Some biomarkers, like pS6, showed an association with better responses. Caution should be taken when treating patients with an underlying autoimmune disease and prior immunosuppression. Toxicology, pharmacokinetics, and immunogenicity studies of CCR4-IL2 bispecific immunotoxin in rats and minipigs
In this study, we have performed non-GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) toxicology, pharmacokinetics, immunogenicity studies of CCR4-IL2-IT in both rats and minipigs. CCR4-IL2-IT demonstrated excellent safety profiles in both rats and minipigs. The maximum tolerated dose of CCR4-IL2-IT was determined as 0.4 mg/kg in both rats and minipigs. Complete blood count and chemistry analysis did not show significant difference for all measured parameters between the blood samples of pre-injection versus post-injection from the five-day toxicology studies of CCT4-IL2-IT in both rats and minipigs. Histology analysis did not show differen...

Romidepsin Plus Cyclophosphamide, Doxorubicin, Vincristine, and Prednisone Versus Cyclophosphamide, Doxorubicin, Vincristine, and Prednisone in Patients With Previously Untreated Peripheral T-Cell Lymphoma: Final Analysis of the Ro-CHOP Trial
We report the planned final analysis 5 years after the last patient enrolled. With a median follow-up of 6 years, median progression-free survival (PFS) was 12.0 months compared with 10.2 months (hazard ratio [HR], 0.79 [95% CI, 0.62 to 1.005]; P = .054), while median overall survival was 62.2 months (35.7-86.6 months) and 43.8 months (30.1-70.2 months; HR, 0.88 [95% CI, 0.68 to 1.14]; P = .324) in the Ro-CHOP and CHOP arms, respectively. In an exploratory analysis, the median PFS in the centrally reviewed follicular helper T-cell lymphoma subgroup was significantly longer in the Ro-CHOP arm (19.5 v 10.6 months, HR, 0.703 ...

Correlation of ex vivo and in vivo ammonia production with L-asparaginase biological activity in adults with lymphoid malignancies
Int J Hematol. 2024 Feb 16. doi: 10.1007/s12185-024-03718-y. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTSilent inactivation of L-asparaginase (L-Asp) represents rapid clearance of L-Asp by anti-L-Asp IgG antibodies without clinical symptoms. Measurement of L-Asp activity is the gold standard for diagnosis of silent inactivation, but this test is not commercially available in Japan as of 2023. We evaluated ex vivo and in vivo ammonia production in relation to L-Asp activity. Blood samples from ten adult patients treated with L-Asp were collected to measure ammonia levels and L-Asp activity before the first dose and 24 h after the last d...

Extranodal natural killer/T cell lymphoma nasal type simulating osteoradionecrosis with metachronic B lymphoma in the pelvis: Case report
Indian J Pathol Microbiol. 2024 Jan-Mar;67(1):162-165. doi: 10.4103/ijpm.ijpm_296_22.ABSTRACTExtranodal Natural Killer/T Cell Lymphoma Nasal Type (EN-NK/T-CL-NT) is a non-Hodgkin extranodal lymphoma of unfavorable prognosis due to its aggressive nature. This neoplasm mainly affects the paranasal sinuses, nasopharynx, oropharynx, oral cavity, palate, and rarely intestinal, gastric and skin regions. 50-year-old female with a history of lymphoma in nasal and pelvic region. At four years of tumors-free, has facial asymmetry, accompanied by sub-palpebral, nasal and lip edema. Intraoral examination revealed a large ulceration su...

Multicentric lymphoma in a donkey with intestinal and bone marrow involvement
CONCLUSIONS: To the authors' knowledge, this is the first time multicentric lymphoma is diagnosed in donkeys. Further studies of the genetic background, clinical, laboratory, histopathologic, and immunohistochemical, as well as the pathogenesis of lymphoma, is needed to better understand the uniquely low frequency of this neoplasm in donkeys.PMID:38360691 | DOI:10.1186/s12917-024-03903-5 (Source: Cell Research)
