Gamma-delta T-cell lymphoma of the central nervous system: A case report and review of the literature
We describe a case of TCL presenting in the basal ganglia with γδ receptor expression and a remarkably aggressive clinical course. To the best of our knowledge, this is the fifth reported case of γδ TCL presenting in the CNS. We review existing literature, including the previously reported cases of γδ TCL of the CNS. In our case, a 69-year-old male presented with acute onset dysarthria and right-sided weakness, with initial imaging concerning for stroke. Repeat imaging demonstrated a 2.6-cm mass in the left basal ganglia-corona radiata. Pathologic examination of a stereotactic biopsy revealed TCL with γδ receptor p...

HBI-8000 improves heart failure with preserved ejection fraction via the TGF- β1/MAPK signalling pathway
In conclusion, our data suggest that HBI-8000 inhibits fibrosis by modulating the TGF-β1/MAPK pathway thereby improving HFpEF. Therefore, HBI-8000 may become a new hope for the treatment of HFpEF patients.PMID:38509729 | DOI:10.1111/jcmm.18238 (Source: J Cell Mol Med)

Genomic profiling of Mycosis Fungoides identifies patients at high risk of disease progression
Blood Adv. 2024 Mar 21:bloodadvances.2023012125. doi: 10.1182/bloodadvances.2023012125. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTMycosis fungoides (MF) is the most prevalent primary cutaneous T-cell lymphoma, with an indolent or aggressive course and poor survival. The pathogenesis of MF remains unclear, and prognostic factors in the early stages are not well-established. Here, we characterized the most recurrent genomic alterations using whole-exome sequencing of 67 samples from 48 patients from Lille University Hospital (France), including 18 sequential samples drawn across stages of the malignancy. Genomic data were analyzed on th...

Clinicopathological features of adult T ‐cell leukemia/lymphoma with T‐follicular helper phenotype
ConclusionSome patients with ATLL may present a TFHP, which should not preclude the diagnosis of ATLL. Although presenting a TFHP does not affect prognosis, it is important to identify cases of ATLL with a TFHP since it may inform future treatment strategies. (Source: Cancer Medicine)

Incidence trends for common subtypes of T-cell lymphoma in Taiwan and the United States from 2008-2020
Int J Hematol. 2024 Mar 17. doi: 10.1007/s12185-024-03746-8. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTThe incidence of T-cell lymphoma (TCL) has been continually increasing in Taiwan and the United States (US) in recent years. This epidemiological study using population-based registry data aimed to determine the incidence patterns of common subtypes of TCL in Taiwan from 2008-2020 and compare them with those in the US and the Asian/Pacific Islander (API) population. Subtypes included angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma (AITL); extranodal NK/T-cell lymphoma, nasal or other type (ENKTL); peripheral T-cell lymphoma, not otherwise specifi...
