Missing Personal Statement
I am a re-applicant for this 2021 cycle after a rejected application last year. I made an unfortunate discovery when looking over last year's application that I had not added my personal statement essay to my primary application. After spending months writing this essay, I'm sure you can imagine that I am kicking myself over this massive oversight... I'm wondering how this affected my applications. My statistics are not extremely competitive for the MD programs I applied to: 502 and 507... Missing Personal Statement (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Canadian Match Statistics
Hey, looking for some hope as a Canadian student hoping to specialize. From the 2019 "Combined Phase I & II Statistics for Applicants" (Dental Match | Statistics of the Match) the proportion of Canadian grads that actually match seem incredibly low - almost unrealistically and discouragingly low. For instance, for the 230 OMS spots available, 2 Canadian grads matched or for the 294 Ped spots, 4 Canadian grads matched. Is there some... Canadian Match Statistics (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Pharmacy schools now accept more than 80% of applicants
The host of the Pharmacy Leaders Podcast posted these admissions statistics first on Facebook, where I got the idea for this article. One experienced pharmacist commented on the thread, When I graduated in 2001 the running joke was if you have a license and a pulse pharmacies throw money at you to hire you. Now it should be “Do you have a pulse and an approved loan application? We’ll take you! [URL... Pharmacy schools now accept more than 80% of applicants (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Pharmacy Career Choice/ Pharmacy Outlook
This is to concentrate views from recent grads or soon to be graduating to give TRUTHFUL accounts of the profession. I’m seeing a lot of misinformation and it is our job to be transparent for anyone looking to go into the profession. Organic Chem Class, Genetics, Bio statistics, and Sociology in One semester (15 credits)... Will this be Hard?
This semester I have to take Organic Chem with the lab, Bio statistics I, Genetics, and Sociology for 15 credits. I've already taken all of my easier courses so now all I'm left with are harder science courses. Do you guys think this will be manageable? And then next semester I would have to take Animal Phys, biochemistry, Intro to Methods in Biotechnology, Physics with lab and philosophy of science (also 15 credits). Should I move anything around or should this schedule be fine. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

What should I take next year...
So I’m going to be a freshmen in undergrad next year, and I’m picking my classes. I know that I may have to do online next semester, so that would change what I can take. Anyways, I have enough credits towards my bio major to have chem 1&2 done, and bio1 done. So I’ll for sure take bio 2 next fall, and statistics in the spring, but as far as chem classes, my next set is organic chem 1 with lab and organic chem 2 with lab. I was thinking of doing those both next year, 1 in fall and 2 in... What should I take next year... (Source: Student Doctor Network)

WAMC - Non-traditional applicant: 2020-2021 cycle
cGPA: 3.73 I'm not sure exactly how it will all calculate since I transferred and took some CC classes during high school/summer, plus a few online classes during break/after graduating, but I did a quick estimate and it seems to shake out to 3.73-3.74. sGPA: 3.6? This is strictly chemistry, biology, organic chemistry, physics, math, statistics, biochem, and cell & molecular bio -- not sure if I should include things like genetics, metabolic nutrition, kinesiology... Transferring from CC with statistics - do I have to take algebra?
Hey guys confusing title but let me explain. I am transferring from a community college to a 4 year CSU to study pre med. I completed statistics at my community college, but one of the pre requisites for chemistry at the 4 year university is Alegbra I and II. I never took algebra, but statistics is technically a higher class than Algebra and transferable (whereas Algebra is a non-transferable lower division class) so do you think they will make me take Algebra to meet the pre req - or is... How did you explain a dip in your GPA during undergrad?
So I'm about to graduate with a B.S. Geography (3.4 GPA) in about 3 weeks and go right to work. I'll be starting a DIY PostBacc as the only BCPM classes I have are 2 math courses that I had to take to graduate (Algebra & Statistics). Looking back at my undergrad career my GPA took a drastic dip my junior year. I had a positive trend my first two years but then I dropped to a 2.9 GPA when averaging out the junior year semesters. Senior year has been my best ending with a 4.0 this semester... How did you explain a dip in your GPA during undergrad? (Source: Student Doctor Network)
