Class Requirements at Sinai
Hi, I graduated and submitted my primary and added Sinai to my list. I just saw that Sinai requires one semester of statistics, and I never took a stats course as I took AP Stats. I took Calc 3 and Differential Equations, which satisfies the math requirement for almost all the schools. Would not having this requirement bar me from getting any interviews? If I get into the school, I am willing to take Stats at my local university in the summer before matriculation. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Aamc fl3 p/s #40
Just let me know if I'm not supposed to do this on this forum, but I had a question on question 40 of the P/S section of AAMC FL3. I understand why the correct answer is correct, we can't assume anything is statistically significant unless expressly stated now matter how big the difference may seem, right, but I don't understand why we can conclude that over 60% of Americans held a certain opinion if those are the results we got from a survey that we know nothing about as far as sample size... Does business statistics count for science GPA?
So I am an economics major on the premed track, and I have taken both a calculus class (MA-151, within the math department) and a business statistics class (EC-220, within the econ department). I know that the calculus class will count towards my science GPA, but will the business statistics not count because it is from the economics department? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

liberal arts college grads –where did you get into med school?
I'd love to hear where people who graduated from small liberal arts colleges got into medical school! I go to Reed College in Portland which is so small there aren't really statistics on where we get into med school, so let's compile a list of where LAC alums get in! (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Post-Interview Acceptance Rates?
I was wondering if anyone had any information on the acceptance rate of applicants post-interview. Every statistics sheet that I can find on the internet seems to only have the amount of applicants compared to those that were accepted, without establishing how many of those applicants received interviews. Does anyone have a link to a website of some sort with any information on this, or anyone that has heard anything regarding this? Also, sorry if this has already been posted somewhere. I... 50% of 524+ students matriculate to DO school - Bizarre Statistics From My School's Health Profession's Office
I came across this document from my school's HPO, and I can't make heads nor tails of it. This is from 2017. Around Half of the people who scored 524+ at my school matriculated to DO school. Why is this? The majority of these people had really good GPAs (looking into the breakdown further down) as well. Maybe all of these people had bad ECs or something, but why would that apply only to the 524+ crowd? Not a single person with a 521 matriculated DO. Is this some odd case of yield protection... Do Schools factor ucGPA or SMPcGPA in their class profile??
Hi All, I have a question I've asked a few times on this site and never really got a solid answer. I tried to read through Med School Websites, but nothing about GPA reporting is clear. I know the medical school admissions process can be nebulous at times, but I'm really unsure about how med schools report their statistics for GPA and MCAT. If you have a higher SMP cGPA than undergrad cGPA, will med schools report your SMP cGPA and incorporate that GPA into their class profile? Is... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Is 10 a good number of post-baccs to apply to?
I have a list of ten schools ranked from reaches to safeties I'm thinking of applying to with a 3.7 undergrad GPA. I have a few pre-reqs under my belt (Biology, Chemistry, Calculus, Statistics) but I'd mostly be relying on the program to fulfill the needed pre-reqs for medical school. I'd prefer a California post-bacc but I'm not opposed to somewhere else. I'm just wondering is this enough? This seems like I'm covering my bases, no? Also, does anyone have any advice about the post-bacc... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)
