Vaccine-related retinal artery occlusion in adults: a review of the current literature
First of all, I am pleased to have an opportunity to discuss our recently published review on vaccine-related retinal artery occlusion (RAO) in adults.1 Publication and reporting bias are well known in medical research,2 and time lag bias is unavoidable in major public healthcare event as if COVID-19 vaccination.3 Our review clearly listed out the literature search methods on search engine and database used (MEDLINE and PubMed), keywords and MeSH terms applied (vaccine retinal artery occlusion), as well as the date of the search (10th January 2022).

Cerebral angiographic features of central retinal artery occlusion patients treated with intra-arterial thrombolysis
Conclusions There was a significant correlation in the severity of steno-occlusive lesions between the OphA and the ipsilateral CA in patients with CRAO. The patients with less severe angiographic features in the CA showed a more improved retinal reperfusion after IAT. The angiographic findings in the CA may serve as a predictive marker for the vessel integrity of the OphA and recanalization outcome after IAT.

SUBRETINAL DRUSENOID DEPOSITS AND SOFT DRUSEN: Are They Markers for Distinct Retinal Diseases?
Conclusion: Subjects with subretinal drusenoid deposits and non-SDD subjects have distinct systemic associations and serum and genetic risks. Subretinal drusenoid deposits are associated with CVD and stroke, ARMS2 risk, and lower high-density lipoprotein; non-SDDs are associated with higher high-density lipoprotein, CFH risk, and two lipid risk genes. These and other distinct associations suggest that these lesions are markers for distinct diseases.
