Prevalence of diabetic nephropathy among Chinese patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and different categories of their estimated glomerular filtration rate based on the Chronic Kidney Disease Epidemiology Collaboration (CKD-EPI) equation in primary care in Hong Kong: a cross-sectional study
ConclusionsDiabetic nephropathy was common among Chinese patients with type 2 diabetes in primary care in Hong Kong. Early identification and control of the modifiable risk factors are of upmost importance in preventing the complication.

Urban-rural comparisons in health risk factor, health status and outcomes in Tianjin, China: A cross-sectional survey (2009-2013).
CONCLUSION: Contrary to Australian urban-rural survey outcomes, the health status and outcomes of residents in rural areas of Tianjin seemed to be better than those of their counterparts in urban areas. Prediction of 5-year risk of diabetes mellitus in relatively low risk middle-aged and elderly adults
ConclusionsFasting plasma glucose level, BMI, and triglyceride level were still dominated factors to predict 5-year diabetic risk among the relatively low risk participants. The cutoff values for fasting plasma glucose, TG, and BMI set as 5.89  mmol/L, 1.1 mmol/L, and 24 kg/m2, respectively, had the best predictive discrimination of diabetes.

Stroke Dysbiosis Index (SDI) in Gut Microbiome Are Associated With Brain Injury and Prognosis of Stroke

Clinical, radiological, and histological characteristics of Chinese type 2 diabetic patients with diabetic scleredema: an observational study
ConclusionOur reports suggest that DS is relatively rare in Chinese patients with diabetes. DS occurs both in middle-aged and elderly patients (male predominantly), overweight or obese, having long-term poorly controlled type 2 diabetes, and presenting a high incidence of microvascular complications, hypertension, neuropathy, and ischemic cerebral stroke. High LDL-C level, nicotine abuse, and alcohol abuse may be risk factors. MRI could be preferable to assess the severity of DS non-invasively.
