86-Year-Old Woman With Fever, New-Onset Dysarthria, and Ataxia
An 86-year-old woman with a medical history of hypertension, hyperlipidemia, permanent atrial fibrillation receiving anticoagulation, and chronic venous stasis causing recurrent leg cellulitis presented to the emergency department for new-onset dysarthria and imbalance, which began earlier that morning. She denied a history of stroke, chills, unintentional weight loss, diarrhea, dysuria, frequency, or recent head trauma. The patient endorsed taking her anticoagulation as prescribed without skipped doses.

O-040 Initial clinical experience with the bendit steerable articulating tip microcatheter for intracranial access and intervention
ConclusionsInitial clinical experience with the controlled articulation that permits flexion at the tip of the microcatheter demonstrated it to be safe. Access to difficult proximal origin curves, and distal clinoidal/ophthalmic segment anatomy may be improved due to the high torque transmission, and acute angulation of this microcatheter. Ataxia and hyperkinetic movement disorders
Hyperkinetic movement disorders comprise excessive involuntary movements, the different types of movement having characteristic clinical features. Ataxia is a disorder of impaired coordination and balance, most commonly caused by cerebellar pathology. Sensory ataxia occurs when the pathways conveying proprioceptive sensory information are impaired. Chorea is a random writhing involuntary movement that can be caused by acute medical causes such as stroke and hyperglycaemia. Huntington disease is the most common cause of progressive chorea.

Cerebellopontine angle meningioma in a patient presented as acute cerebrovascular accident
