CircRNA 010567 plays a significant role in myocardial infarction via the regulation of the miRNA-141/DAPK1 axis
CONCLUSIONS: Our results demonstrated that circRNA 010567-siRNA played a protective role in hypoxia-induced cardiomyocyte damage via regulating the miR-141/DAPK1 axis, indicating that circRNA 010567-siRNA may be a promising target for MI therapy.PMID:34012592 | PMC:PMC8107568 | DOI:10.21037/jtd-21-212

Anti-apoptotic Effect of MiR-223-3p Suppressing PIK3C2A in Cardiomyocytes from Myocardial Infarction Rat Through Regulating PI3K/Akt Signaling Pathway
Cardiovasc Toxicol. 2021 May 17. doi: 10.1007/s12012-021-09658-x. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTWe aimed to explore the regulatory mechanism of the axis of miR-223-3p-PIK3C2A-PI3K/Akt on cardiomyocyte apoptosis in rats with myocardial infarction. Thirty 8-week-old healthy male SD rats were used for establishing the sham group and the model group, with HE staining, TUNEL staining, and TTC staining performed. After the identification of the targeting relationship between PIK3C2A and miR-223-3p, experimental rats were randomly divided into seven groups by plasmid transfection, including the Blank group, negative control (NC) ...

An exosomal-carried short periostin isoform induces cardiomyocyte proliferation
Conclusions: Our results show, for the first time, that CPC-secreted exosomes promote cardiomyocyte cell cycle-reentry via a short periostin isoform expressed on their surfaces, whereas recombinant full-length periostin does not. These findings highlight isoform-specific roles of periostin in cardiomyocyte proliferation.

Protective effect of MAPK signaling pathway mediated by ITGB3 gene silencing on myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury in mice and its mechanism.
CONCLUSIONS: Silencing ITGB3 gene expression can promote the activation of MAPK signaling pathway, elevate the phosphorylation of GSK-3β and Cx43 in the downstream, promote the proliferation of mouse myocardial cells, inhibit myocardial cell apoptosis and inflammatory reaction, and thus have protective effect on MIRI in mice. MicroRNA-369 attenuates hypoxia-induced cardiomyocyte apoptosis and inflammation via targeting TRPV3.
Authors: Wang J, Chen X, Huang W Abstract Hypoxia-induced apoptosis and inflammation play an important role in cardiovascular diseases including myocardial infarction (MI). miR-369 has been suggested to be a key regulator of cardiac fibrosis. However, the role of miR-369 in regulating hypoxia-induced heart injury remains unknown. Our data indicated that miR-369 expression was significantly down-regulated and TRPV3 was significantly up-regulated in myocardial tissue after MI in rats and in hypoxic-treated neonatal rat cardiomyocytes (NRCMs). In addition, we observed that hypoxia significantly promoted apoptosis and ...

Ultrasound ‑targeted microbubble destruction‑mediated Galectin‑7‑siRNA promotes the homing of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells to alleviate acute myocardial infarction in rats.
In conclusion, the present study demonstrated that UTMD‑mediated Galectin‑7‑siRNA treatment could enhance the homing ability of BMSCs, thus alleviating AMI in rats. PMID: 33416139 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]
