Suppression of GCH1 Sensitizes Ovarian Cancer and Breast Cancer to PARP Inhibitor
CONCLUSION: Our results illustrated that PARP inhibitors promote GCH1 expression via the JAK-STAT pathway. We also elucidated the potential relationship between GCH1 and the homologous recombination repair pathway and proposed a combination regimen of GCH1 suppression with PARP inhibitors in breast and ovarian cancers.PMID:36793373 | PMC:PMC9925261 | DOI:10.1155/2023/1453739

Multimerin 1 aids in the progression of ovarian cancer possibly via modulation of DNA damage response and repair pathways
Mol Cell Biochem. 2023 Feb 1. doi: 10.1007/s11010-023-04668-5. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTOvarian cancer is one of the leading causes of deaths among women. Despite advances in the treatment regimes, a high rate of diagnosis in the advanced stage makes it almost an incurable malignancy. Thus, more research efforts are required to identify potential molecular markers for early detection of the disease and therapeutic targets to augment the survival rate of ovarian cancer patients. Previously, in this context, we identified dysregulated expression of multimerin 1 (MMRN1) in ovarian cancer. To elucidate the relationship be...

Long non-coding RNA PVT1 promotes the proliferation, migration and EMT process of ovarian cancer cells by regulating CTGF
In conclusion, lncRNA PVT1 promotes the proliferation, migration, invasiveness and EMT process of ovarian cancer cells, and CTGF contributes to the effect of lncRNA PVT1.PMID:36688109 | PMC:PMC9843302 | DOI:10.3892/ol.2022.13657
