"Business Psychology"
Hi all, A friend of mine who is looking into applying for doctoral programs asked me about business psychology. To be honest I had never heard of it. I assumed he had meant IO but he had read there was a difference between the two. All I could find was a degree program via the Chicago School which discusses the differences, but this seemed like marketing rather than actually delineating a distinct field. I could be wrong but I am thinking "business psychology" is not a separate field of... "Business Psychology" (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Difference between neuropsychology and rehabilitation psychology
I'm an undergraduate student student and hope to eventually enter a clinical psychology program with a focus on neuropsychology. I recently learned about rehabilitation psychology and it seems to align with my interests very well. However, it seems that neuropsych and rehab psych are very similar. I was wondering if anyone could further explain the differences between the fields? Or how either specialty could lead to clinical or research work in rehab settings (particularly for stroke and TBI)? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

I was trained heavily on the importance of monitoring client outcome and assessing feedback. I'm a huge proponent of the work by Scott Miller, Michael Lambert, and the like. I think it's so important for therapists to objectively track treatment outcomes and intervene if clients deteriorate or stagnate. If you haven't looked into this, i'd highly encourage you to. Hi all, Hypothetical question! With all the protests going on, I’ve been thinking a lot about the implications of attending a protest as a psychologist. If I went and was protesting peacefully, but somehow got arrested, how would this look on a potential background check for a future job? Would you hire someone that was charged with a crime related to protesting? What would the implications be for licensure? Just curious about everyone’s thoughts! (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Hello everyone, A few months ago I received an acceptance to one of the original 5 D.O schools. Since undergrad I have wanted to pursue psychiatry and recently I found out its becoming more competitive to attain a spot. I wanted to know what you guys think would make me a competitive applicant for a psych residency? How can I improve my chances of matching into psych is basically what im asking. Any tips/advice is appreciated. Also, I got my B.S in psychology. Will that help? (Source: Student Doctor Network)
