Differences between NIH K Awards and VA CDA
I was recently asked by a student what are the primary differences, if any, between NIH K Awards and VA CDA. I have limited experience with the VA and never even considered it when going after such funding, so I didn't have a serviceable response. Importance of research area for postdocs
Hello all, 2nd year clinical PhD student here. My ultimate career goals include either clinical health or rehabilitation psych hopefully at an AMC.
The lab I am in at my program is great, and I should have plenty of publications/posters by the time I’m applying to post-docs. However, the research area is not necessarily directly related to either of these two fields (mostly SUDs, which I know are often relevant to health/rehab populations but this is not the focus of our lab).

Should I aim for PsyD or PhD programs?
I'm a sophomore psychology student, so there's still time for me to figure things out but I want to be as competitive as possible so I want to make sure I'm thinking through all my options. SCS psych clearance delays
I've identified patients I'm considering for neuromodulation but have been getting held up by the psych clearance portion - long wait times, insurance non-coverage and patients having to pay out of pocket (even the telehealth options). I'm exploring the idea of hiring a liscensed psychologist as a contractor for the group to expedite the process on a per-eval basis.
