J Rheumatol. 2022 Aug 1:jrheum.220093. doi: 10.3899/jrheum.220093. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTSarcoidosis is a multisystem chronic inflammatory disorder of unknown etiology characterized by noncaseating granulomas.1 In the literature, we found a few cases of sarcoidosis combined with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis (PsA), in patients treated with anti-tumor necrosis factor inhibitors2 and secukinumab.3 However, the coexistence of isolated cutaneous sarcoidosis and PsA is rare.4,5.PMID:35914788 | DOI:10.3899/jrheum.220093 (Source: J Rheumatol)

Metformin Inhibits HaCaT Cell Proliferation Under Hyperlipidemia Through Reducing Reactive Oxygen Species via FOXO3 Activation
CONCLUSION: This study demonstrated that under the hyperlipidemia, metformin has significant antiproliferation and proapoptosis effects by reducing ROS level as well as increasing autophagy. All of these effects from metformin were through FOXO3-dependent pathway.PMID:35910506 | PMC:PMC9326038 | DOI:10.2147/CCID.S368845 (Source: Clinical, Cosmetic and Investigational Dermatology)

Effects of Blue Light on the Skin and Its Therapeutic Uses: Photodynamic Therapy and Beyond
CONCLUSION The benefits and treatment applications of blue light have proven effective in multiple forms and uses. In the correct setting, blue light can be a useful tool to the practicing dermatologist for many common and sometimes refractory skin diseases while remaining low-risk and convenient. Further standardization and monitoring should be pursued to determine the most appropriate use. (Source: Dermatologic Surgery)
