Skin disorders in women with poor obstetric history: < em > MTHFR < /em > polymorphisms and importance of preconceptional counseling
CONCLUSIONS: The increased prevalence of psoriasis and acrochordons among women with MTHFR deficiency underscores the complex relationship between genetic factors and dermatological health. Our findings emphasized the critical role of MTHFR polymorphisms not only in poor obstetric history but also as significant contributors to skin disorders. Vulvar psoriasis is more common in the pediatric population than in adults. Isolated genital psoriasis occurs in 2-5% of all patients. Psoriasis has been noted as a skin manifestation in renal transplant recipients. 214 Rowell Syndrome as a Paraneoplastic Manifestation of Metastatic Mesothelioma
A 60-year-old male presented in 2021 with pulmonary metastatic epitheloid mesothelioma. Notable history included psoriasis and T4aN2bM0 sarcomatoid squamous-cell-carcinoma of the oral-cavity treated with palliative radiotherapy. Due to an extraordinary response to radiotherapy, Head and Neck Multidisciplinary-Team-Meeting re-review felt a lymphomatoid process more likely.
