Disappointing first FL score
I took my first Kaplan FL score on Sunday and scored a 494. I was pretty disappointed by this score, but I have not completed all of the content review yet (I have about 4 chapters left in each book). I am worried that I will not be able to get my score up to a 510, as I have my exam scheduled for the end of April (3 months away). Any advice in quickly improving scores, and when should I decide if I have to push my exam date back? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Should I do post bacc?
I'm sorry if I posted in the wrong place, I am new to this site. I recently graduated this fall 2019 and have been at home trying to find more work and volunteering opportunities. I thought of taking the mcat this May and started looking more into depth about med school and have been thinking of possibly taking a post bacc at some programs close to home (I live in northern Virginia) to make sure I will be the best candidate for med school. Non trad chances help
Hi everyone. I’m looking for some help and recommendations for my possible options. I graduated with a BS in Psychology in May of 2018. I took the mcat after graduation in July and received a 501 on the exam. It was the first time I had taken it with only one month of prep. Hey Everyone, I applied this cycle with low stats, working with a 3.1 GPA and 508 MCAT. Wasn't expecting a whole lot of success but thought DO would go my way. 3.19 was my undergrad GPA, and it is now up to 3.41 with 3 semesters of post bacc courses. Am I ready to apply?
So here is my deal: I had a strong GPA of 4.0 my freshman year, but it all went to hell when I started working later in my sophomore year. I received a bunch of B's and C's following, and ended up graduating with a 3.19 GPA in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. I also got an MCAT of 497, which I stupidly took without even studying for it. I decided to wake up and take school more seriously, since my I didn't want to end up with a dead end job going no where. I took a bunch of post bacc... 3.19 was my undergrad GPA, and it is now up to 3.41 with 3 semesters of post bacc courses. Am I ready to apply? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Pursue Bsn or finish up different BA degree?
Hello everybody, I just finished two years of undergrad with a 2.2 gpa due to lack of focus, self-discipline, etc. and I'm curious to know if you guys think there's still a possibility of med-school if I were to finish these next two years(retake some science classes) with a 4.0 each quarter? Or should I instead try to pursue a BSN then maybe try to apply to medical school with a high enough gpa? Assuming I perform well on the MCAT of course, but just trying to see if I have a chance and... Pursue Bsn or finish up different BA degree? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

SOCAL January test date move to March 14th
Hi, I am currently scheduled for January 23rd, but would like to move it to March 14th 2020. There are no seats currently available for that date in the Socal region (anaheim, lake forest, LA). If anyone of you are 99% sure that you're going to move your test date to either January 23rd or to a later date, can we coordinate something out? I would like to reschedule now because of financial reasons and sanity. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

The Universal Study Plan (approx 600 hours)
I've been asked about my study plan a few times, so I'm putting it into a post. I put a good amount of prep time (as described in this post) into making my study plan before I started my hardcore review and I recommend this to everyone. Take a few days before you dive into your studies to get your game plan set and your material organized. Look at the AAMC guide to get an idea... Need Advice and Help on Retaking MCAT/Applying
GPA: c3.99; sGPA ~3.9 (don't know how to check this) MCAT: 513: 130/125/128/130 I don't know what to do... basically, i messed up od in high school, somehow got into a BS/MD program, but am now facing dismissal of the program if i fail to reach their mcat requirements (I missed CARS) in one more attempt. I'm literally dumber than a rock, and had expected a 500 after my MCAT test day. I'm so confident I cannot get higher than 513, let alone raise my CARS. This is why I'm strongly considering... cGPA of 3.58, sGPA of 3.55. How high on the MCAT would I need to score?
I did not do well my last semester, and it looks like I'm looking at a cGPA of 3.58 and a sGPA of 3.55. I'm taking the MCAT in april, and I was wondering if people had an idea of how high I would need to score to be relatively competitive for the lower-ranked med schools. I've got decent research (2 summers plus during the academic year), volunteering, and I've intern'd at a clinic working with patients. Going to take a gap year and do either research or scribe (not sure which of those is... cGPA of 3.58, sGPA of 3.55. How high on the MCAT would I need to score? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Full-Time student, when should I take the MCAT in 2020? Rescheduled
I'm a full-time student (spring semester 2020), taking two upper-level courses next semester w/ labs. I was scheduled to sit for the exam on June 1st, but was reading that it may impact my odds of getting in based on how quickly my scores come out and so on. Then I read somewhere that those who took the exam later in the summer scored significantly higher on the exam (15-20% higher in August then in May, etc). Short story long, I ended up getting cold feet and rescheduled it to June 27th-... Full-Time student, when should I take the MCAT in 2020? Rescheduled (Source: Student Doctor Network)

How do Med Schools Feel About Younger Applicants?
Hi all, I just completed my 3rd semester of undergrad planning to graduate in Spring 2021. I am about to take my MCAT in January and plan to apply next cycle (this summer). I was wondering if anyone has any insight about general requirements because I will be 19-20 years old when I apply and 20 when I graduate undergrad. I hear people say that med schools already don't like to take normal applicants straight out of undergrad without a gap year, and that I need a 518+ to have a decent chance...
