Retake 516 with 123 CARS?
Hi everyone,
My score was released today as a 516 (132/123/131/130). I want to retake it because I had a bad fever (non-covid) during the exam and only slept for 2 hours the night before; my brain was utterly toasted during sections with long passages, like my eyes would be moving while no information was retained. Confidence Bands as they relate to multiple MCAT versions administered in the cycle
Based on the AAMC guide to the MCAT, the relative difficulty of each exam administered during a cycle (as there are multiple versions) is normed so that every test taker is taking a test of empirically equal difficulty. Do the confidence bands represent what AAMC has determined are the likely range of scores an individual might have gotten had they taken a different version of the test during the same cycle? Retake 503?
I took an mcat on 7/15/23 and 1/18/24, and I got 503 both times.
I was planning to apply to this cycle however my score sucks. I don’t think I would take another gap year. Should I just risk it and apply? or go for 3rd retake?

Just Received New MCAT Towards End of Cycle, Will It Matter?

I just got my MCAT from 1/26 back today, and I scored much higher than my previous attempts!
1st attempt: 502 (2020)
2nd attempt: 500 (2023)
3rd attempt: 509 (2024)
cGPA: 3.17
sGPA: 2.94
I have a lot of clinical (3000+) and non-clinical (1000+) experience that is a mix of paid and volunteer.

I just want to preface this by saying I genuinely have no desire to get into a T20 school, but I'm curious what people think. My top choice is Stanford but honestly my reason is so unimaginably stupid I'm not even gonna mention it.
