Hi all! I'm a sophomore in college right now, and I am registered to take the MCAT on August 24th. WAMC NONTRAD 3.75/521 12 yrs since undergrad
Hi SDN Community, I am humbly asking for some honest advice and insight. I am 34 years old. Despite five attempts (yes, I know) to get into medical school starting in 2015, I have not been successful. I graduated from UC Berkeley back in 2012. My last MCAT score from August 2020 was 521 (98th percentile), and I have a GPA of 3.75. I also have a couple of second author publications and have interviewed at Duke, Rochester, UC Davis, Buffalo, and Rosalind Franklin. I was unable to secure... Custom MCAT Study Plan
Hi everyone! Not sure if this kind of post is allowed here, so please excuse the misstep if not. I've been MCAT tutoring for a few years, and always help my students make a spreadsheet schedule of exactly what they should be completing each day based on their strengths/weaknesses, timing, and resources available. As someone with ADHD, I've found that having a thorough outline is very helpful for keeping focused, and eliminating some of the stress that comes from general *I could always be... Would you attend a postbacc with this success rate?
I recently reached out to the head of a pre-health program at a CUNY school with a very new postbacc program to ask about the success rate. He said that the program is too new to provide the stats for the postbacc, but for all prehealth students with undergraduate GPAs of 3.0+ and MCAT scores of 498+, 192 students apply in the past five years, 120 of whom got into US medical schools, for a success rate of 62%. I know this doesn't measure up to the likes of programs like Bryn Mawr with 98%... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

MCAT question
Hi everyone, I have a bit of a strange case regarding the MCAT. Two years ago I scheduled to take the MCAT. My studying was very weak. I think I scanned through some kaplan books for about a month and maybe flipped through some anki cards here and there, but I was distracted and didn't put my all into it. I ended up getting a 503 (breakdown C/P: 125 CARS: 128 B/B: 125 P/S: 125). I stupidly didn't research what it meant to take the MCAT and didn't know that adcoms can see every score, but I...
