Apply with current MCAT score and list new test date or wait until scores come back?
Hello everyone! I currently have a 503 on my mcat, 125 in all sections except CARS which I have a 128. I have a 3.6 cgpa, and 3.45 sgpa. I'm retaking my MCAT in June and as of right now I'm scoring between a 508-512. I'm reapplying to MD and DO schools and I was wonder if it was better to wait to submit until July or submit in June with my an upcoming test score listed? Thank you! (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Retaking practice tests?
Because of COVID 19 I have had to shift my study plan back, like I'm sure many of you have also done. This left me with practice tests that I have already done, and I have reviewed the answers on some of them. Can I retake these tests, even though I have already taken them previously? Do you think I will remember enough from them that it will alter the accuracy of my overall score? I'm hoping that I do not have to buy more tests, but I also don't want to be under the impression that my score... Retaking practice tests? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Frustrated with CARS score. Any advice?
Hey guys, So I’m relatively okay at CARS because whenever I do practice passages (usually 3-5 a day) I score well, usually getting 1 wrong per passage or 0. When I first began doing CARS, I would get 3 wrong per passage and sometimes more. Anyways, I have done all of UWorld, in which I averaged 64%. This was in the beginning of my prep. I then did KA passages and averaged 77% on that. Now, I’m doing TS and I’m in the 70s for that rn but I’m not done with it. For AAMC, my prep course... Frustrated with CARS score. Any advice? Getting into MD school with F/D on transcript but A on re-take
Hi guys, I have been trying to find an answer to this question forever and can't seem to find any insight. I just graduated and took a year off to study for the MCAT and do a research year. My CV is pretty strong, I have about 4000+ research hours, 3000+ clinical hours, volunteer hours, and some published papers. I also have good LORs. I took the MCAT last year and didn't so so hot because I thought I can take it with only studying for 2 weeks and got a 491 (shouldn't have taken it) but... Very Low GPA
I hope you are doing well. I have always dreamed of being a doctor but my grades during undergrad were not too well due to some personal family issues that were taking place. I have a 3.1 cumulative GPA and a 2.5 science GPA. To make up for my shortcomings, I enrolled in a dual master's program (MBA/MHA) as a full-time student while also working full-time. My graduate GPA is a 3.875. I have not taken my MCAT yet and know that I need to knock it out of the ball-park in order to have a chance... Very Low GPA (Source: Student Doctor Network)

MCAT retake advice
Hi guys, So the first time I took the MCAT, I was working full time while in school full-time, so to prep I used winter break and all my vacation time to cram for 21 days and take it. I got a 509, applied to med school this cycle, and am now on 4 WLs which most likely I wont get off of. I'm gonna reapply next cycle (2021-2022) and obviously retake my MCAT. Help! 490 MCAT
I took the MCAT in June of last year and got a 490. I then decided to take a Princeton Review course over winter break but due to having emergency surgery, didn't really finish/study after the class. I'm now scheduled to take the MCAT on July 23. I recently took AAMC FL1 and got a 490. I know that my knowledge of the content is lacking but I'm genuinely so unsure with how to go about studying and preparing for the exam, since I have less than 70 days to prepare. Deferment from DO school and considering applying to MD.
Hi, I am sorry in advance for the long post. I would appreciate anyone's advice for my dilemma. I am a senior who just graduated. I applied last cycle (2019-2020) and I ended up with a 497 MCAT score. My GPA was a 3.7. I applied to MD schools received several secondaries but no interview invites and eventually got rejected. I also applied to a few DO schools. I did not care as much about MD vs DO. However, by December I still didn't receive any word on acceptances so I decided to enroll in... MCAT Registration Text Notification
Hey all! I don't think I've seen this yet, but since the AAMC is only notifying people through Twitter about the website, I set up a free text number to get notified. I have an automated system that will detect the site being up and almost instantaneously send out a text. Text MCAT to 17203610748 (US Only) We're deleting phone numbers and won't use it for anything else. Good luck! Ryan! advisor to SDN! (Source: Student Doctor Network)

T20 schools that are more forgiving of lower GPAs? (lowish GPA/high MCAT)
I have a 522 MCAT but a 3.65 cGPA/3.55sGPA (prestigious non-Ivy school, upward trend). I'm ORM, have average ECs and a moderate amount of research (~1000 hours, no pubs) but nothing crazy. I'm planning on applying broadly to 30+ schools with mid-tiers comprising the majority of my list but still want to include 5-10 T20 schools even though they are likely reaches for me. However I still want to be wise about it and don't want to apply to a school that is strict on GPA and unlikely to... T20 schools that are more forgiving of lower GPAs? MCAT retake apply now or in july - COVID
Im an Indiana resident. My gpa is a 3.83 and science is 3.77. I took the MCAT last year and got a 502 (chem:123/CARS:127/bio:126/psych:126). My score was much lower than my practice exams so I decided to take a gap year to study and raise it. So I did not apply last cycle at all. Now, with COVID, I am wondering whether I should submit my app with this score, or if I should wait until I retake the MCAT June 27 with score release July 14 to submit my applications. I do not want to be denied... MCAT retake apply now or in july - COVID (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Effect of size of bond between carbon and leaving group
I have a card that states that leaving group strength increases as bond between carbon and leaving group decreases. I thought it was the other way around. (Source: Student Doctor Network)
