Viruses, Vol. 14, Pages 2460: Occurrence and Molecular Variability of the Main Kiwifruit Viruses in the Sichuan Province of China
g Jing Shui Viruses cause important yield losses in kiwifruit. Here, we studied the occurrence and population structure of the major kiwifruit viruses in the Sichuan province of China. RT-PCR results showed the presence of Actinidia virus A (AcVA), Actinidia virus B (AcVB), Actinidia chlorotic ringspot-associated virus (AcCRaV), and the cucumber mosaic virus (CMV). AcCRaV was widely distributed, followed by CMV. These two viruses were often detected in co-infection with AcVA and AcVB. The virus detection rate was positively correlated with vine age. Four phylogenetic groups of AcVA and AcVB were identified, with AcVA...

Reliability of banana-specific ige testing prior to oral food challenge
Allergy to direct fruit is relatively rare, and when present is commonly associated with fruits such as kiwi and avocado. True IgE-mediated allergy to banana is uncommonly reported in the literature, as is data regarding the reliability of specific IgE testing prior to oral food challenge (OFC). Kiwifruit and Kiwifruit Extracts for Treatment of Constipation: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
CONCLUSIONS: Among individuals with constipation, there is an overall low certainty of evidence indicating that kiwifruit may increase SBM when compared to placebo or psyllium. Although overall results are promising, establishing the role of kiwifruit in constipation requires large, methodologically rigorous trials. Genes, Vol. 13, Pages 1827: A Comparative Genomics Approach for Analysis of Complete Mitogenomes of Five Actinidiaceae Plants
Yongsheng Liu Actinidiaceae, an economically important plant family, includes the Actinidia, Clematoclethra and Saurauia genus. Kiwifruit, with remarkably high vitamin C content, is an endemic species widely distributed in China with high economic value. Although many Actinidiaceae chloroplast genomes have been reported, few complete mitogenomes of Actinidiaceae have been studied. Here, complete circular mitogenomes of the four kiwifruit species and Saurauia tristyla were assembled. Codon usage, sequence repeats, RNA editing, gene transfers, selective pressure, and phylogenetic relationships in the four kiwifruit speci...

Genome-wide identification of the TGA gene family in kiwifruit (Actinidia chinensis spp.) and revealing its roles in response to Pseudomonas syringae pv. actinidiae (Psa) infection
Int J Biol Macromol. 2022 Sep 20:S0141-8130(22)02085-2. doi: 10.1016/j.ijbiomac.2022.09.154. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTKiwifruit bacterial canker, caused by Pseudomonas syringae pv. actinidiae (Psa), is a destructive disease of kiwifruit worldwide. Functional genes in response to Psa infection are needed, as they could be utilized to control disease. TGACG-binding transcription factor (TGA), as an essential regulator, involved in the process of plant against pathogens. However, the function of TGA regulators has not been reported in kiwifruit. It is unclear that whether TGA genes play a role in response to Psa infectio...

AuNPs and graphdiyne nanocomposite as robust electrocatalyst for methyl parathion detection in real samples
Anal Sci. 2022 Sep 7. doi: 10.1007/s44211-022-00184-6. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTThe present work describes a simple and rapid synthesis method of gold nanoparticles and graphdiyne (AuNPs@GDY) nanocomposites including porous structure. Moreover, the synthesized AuNPs@GDY material was decorated on the glassy carbon electrode (GCE) with a drop coating method to construct a non-enzymatic electrochemical pesticides sensor. The micro-morphology and elemental composition of the materials were characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS). The electrocatalysis and conductivit...
