Additionally, lacking evidence-based treatment recommendations, with the primary approach focusing on symptomatic relief. Herein, we report the case of a 32-year-old Chinese woman who presented with recurrent, generalized multiple osteoarticular pain lasting over...

Facial Physiological Characteristics and Skin Microbiomes Changes are Associated with Body Mass Index (BMI)
CONCLUSION: These results indicate that BMI is associated with differences in the biophysical properties and microbiome of the facial skin. A high BMI affects the integrity of skin barrier and changes the skin flora diversity and species composition.PMID:38463558 | PMC:PMC10921894 | DOI:10.2147/CCID.S447412 (Source: Clinical, Cosmetic and Investigational Dermatology)

Eruptive Cherry Angiomas After Nitrogen Mustard Treatment for Vitiligo
Clin Cosmet Investig Dermatol. 2024 Feb 28;17:477-481. doi: 10.2147/CCID.S446781. eCollection 2024.ABSTRACTA 43-year-old male was diagnosed with vitiligo and had been treated with topical nitrogen mustard at the age of 13. Following two years of treatment, eruptive cherry angiomas developed and presented as widely distributed red papules throughout his trunk and proximal limbs. Ceasing the use of nitrogen mustard slowed the emergence of lesions. This case highlights the potential adverse effects associated with nitrogen mustard treatment in individuals with susceptibility, as it may lead to the onset of eruptive cherry ang...

Clinical Misdiagnosis of Cutaneous Malignant Tumors as Melanocytic Nevi or Seborrheic Keratosis: A Retrospective Analysis of a Chinese Population
CONCLUSION: In China, cutaneous malignant tumors misdiagnosed as MN or SK are not uncommon in clinical practice, and active introduction of noninvasive diagnostic techniques is essential to distinguish them.PMID:38435843 | PMC:PMC10906670 | DOI:10.2147/CCID.S451288 (Source: Clinical, Cosmetic and Investigational Dermatology)

A Case of Pustular Pyoderma Gangrenosum Misdiagnosed as Acute Febrile Neutrophilic Dermatosis in a Pediatric Patient
CONCLUSION: PG is relatively rare in clinical settings, particularly among pediatric patients exhibiting persistent high fever and signs of pustular pyoderma gangrenosum. This case underscores the importance of considering the potential diagnosis of pediatric pustular PG when confronted with a child presenting persistent high fever and pustules after trauma. Additionally, the proactive initiation of adalimumab emerges as a promising treatment option for pediatric IBD -associated pustular PG.PMID:38435844 | PMC:PMC10909319 | DOI:10.2147/CCID.S449404 (Source: Clinical, Cosmetic and Investigational Dermatology)
