Cutaneous plasmacytosis Characterized by Head Plaques: An Unusual Case Report of a 57-Year-Old Male
We report an unusual and rare case of CP in a 57‑year‑old male who presented with popular nodules all over the body, accompanied by head plaques. Pathological biopsy of the skin revealed large infiltration of mature plasma cells within the dermis. Elevated serum IgG4 concentrations were found. Immunohistochemical analysis confirmed the polyclonal nature of the plasma cells. The diagnosis of CP was established. Steroid therapy was administered at a dose of 20 mg/day. After 1 month of treatment, the patient's eruption showed regression. These findings remind dermatologists to include CP in their clinical differential dia...

Psoriasis on Lesions of Vitiligo: A Case Report
In this study, we reported a case of vitiligo who developed psoriasis following an upper respiratory tract infection with a uniform shape of psoriatic lesions at the phototherapy site of vitiligo. After 2 months of discontinuation of phototherapy and concurrent treatment with topical corticosteroid and calcipotriol, the psoriasis lesions were significantly improved.PMID:37560254 | PMC:PMC10408700 | DOI:10.2147/CCID.S417290 (Source: Clinical, Cosmetic and Investigational Dermatology)

Several systemic symptoms can be present in patients with EP such as lymphadenopathy, arthralgia, fever, fatigue, dehydration, serum electrolyte disturbances, and tachycardia making this condition a possible life-threatening disease, particularly if appropriate treatments are not performed. In this scenario, effective and safe t...

IgG4-Related Disease Manifested as Cutaneous Plasmacytosis: A Case Report
CONCLUSION: IgG4-RD is a highly misdiagnosed disease that deserves the attention of physicians. The patient we reported could be considered a representative case of IgG4-RD that presents with skin lesions. For patients with suspected IgG4-RD, serum IgG4 testing should be performed, and further imaging, serological tests, and pathology examinations are needed to exclude malignancy, infection, and autoimmune diseases.PMID:37554302 | PMC:PMC10404591 | DOI:10.2147/CCID.S406199 (Source: Clinical, Cosmetic and Investigational Dermatology)

Comparative Efficacy Between Intense Pulsed Light Narrow Spectrum and Broad Spectrum in the Treatment of Post-Acne Erythema (PAE)
CONCLUSION: IPL vascular filter (530-650 nm and 900-1200 nm) have efficacy in the treatment of PAE. CADI score, patient satisfaction, and acne relapse were significantly better after vascular narrow spectrum treatment than broad-spectrum treatment.PMID:37547541 | PMC:PMC10404044 | DOI:10.2147/CCID.S419743 (Source: Clinical, Cosmetic and Investigational Dermatology)

Treatment of Erythrodermic Psoriasis in Children with Secukinumab: A Case Report
We report a case of a seven-year-old patient who transitioned from generalized pustular psoriasis (GPP) to EP after routine systemic drug treatment. The patient was then treated with secukinumab. The patient's condition improved noticeably within 48 hours after the first injection. After the fifth injection, she almost completely cleared her skin lesions and achieved Psoriasis Area and Severity Index 90 (PASI 90) scores. During this period, she experienced only one respiratory infection. She completed all 11 doses of secukinumab by October 14, 2022, with no new rash (PASI 100) and no adverse drug reactions. Follow-up obser...
