Recalcitrant Pyoderma Gangrenosum: Clinical Burden and Unmet Needs
Clin Cosmet Investig Dermatol. 2023 Aug 9;16:2143-2152. doi: 10.2147/CCID.S381490. eCollection 2023.ABSTRACTPyoderma gangrenosum (PG) is a rare, autoinflammatory disease leading to aseptic ulcers which carries a significant disease burden and is often difficult to treat, with many patients failing first-line treatment and requiring additional therapies. Dermatosis Neglecta Based on Exanthematous Drug Eruption Following Head Trauma: A Case Report and Literature Review
We report a 68-year-old Chinese male patient who presented with thick, yellowish-brown crusting on his face and scalp and scaly skin for 6 days. Dermoscopy revealed diffusely distributed yellow-green serescrust-like plaques with different sizes and uneven thickness on a red background, and some demonstrated dot or globular hemorrhages. We considered DN and exanthematous drug eruptions based on the combination of the clinical medication and the history before the rash.PMID:37575148 | PMC:PMC10417696 | DOI:10.2147/CCID.S419092 (Source: Clinical, Cosmetic and Investigational Dermatology)
