Feminizing Frontal Cranioplasty
Feminizing frontal cranioplasty (FFC) is perhaps the most significant, single gender-affirming surgical procedure. It consists of forehead/glabella bone contouring and/or frontal sinus set back, orbital osteoplasty, anterior hairline rounding, hairline or scalp advancement, and brow lifting. The feminizing frontal cranioplasty is a safe and effective means to produce ideal patient results for gender-affirming facial surgery. Herein we describe an open approach to the frontal cranioplasty useful for facial feminization surgery. (Source: Operative Techniques in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery)

Upper Eyelid Blepharoplasty Improved the Overall Periorbital Aesthetics Ratio by Enhancing Harmony Between the Eyes and Eyebrows
CONCLUSION: This study revealed that upper eyelid blepharoplasty, which enhances the appearance of the upper eyelids while regulating the eyelid position and shape of the eyebrows by considering the eye to eyebrow ratio, optimizes the proportion of the periorbital area and improves the overall periorbital aesthetics.PMID:36164555 | PMC:PMC9509013 | DOI:10.2147/CCID.S385057 (Source: Clinical, Cosmetic and Investigational Dermatology)

Functional Browlifting
Facial Plast Surg DOI: 10.1055/a-1883-0483Brow ptosis is an abnormal descent of the eyebrow resulting in a displeased appearance and/or functional deficit. While most cases of brow ptosis do not result in a functional impairment, functional brow surgery is generally reserved for individuals with severe brow asymmetry or visual field deficit related to excess soft tissue pushing downward on the eyelid. A combination of both intrinsic and extrinsic anatomic factors contributes to an unfavorable brow shape, contour, and position. Proper management of brow ptosis requires an understanding of both surgical and nonsurgical modal...

An overview of surgical techniques and non-surgical treatments in lifting the eyebrow including current treatments available
AbstractThe eyebrow is a complex structure of the human face, which has both functional (communication) and aesthetic aspects and contributes to a persons ’ individual appearance. Ptosis of the eyebrow is a common condition, especially among the elderly and smokers. Facial appearance is disrupted by eyebrow ptosis, and in many cases, correction and treatment are needed. No specific type of browlift has been shown to be superior to another, and since there is a wide variation in treatment preference between patients, it requires an individual approach to each specific patient. This review provides an overview of the histo...
